New Amsterdam, a drama series about a homicide detective who is immortal, premieres on GO! on Wednesday, December 30 at 9.30pm.

New Amsterdam stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Black Hawk Down), Zuleikha Robinson (Hidalgo) and Alexie Gilmore (Definitely, Maybe).

John Amsterdam (Coster-Waldau) is a brilliant New York homicide detective with a profound secret: he is immortal. After saving the life of an American Indian girl in 1642 she returned the favour by weaving a spell on him that stops him ageing a single day until he finds his one true love.

Over the course of three centuries he has experienced endless adventure and honed his many talents. But everyone Amsterdam meets must leave him in time –  friends, lovers and children grow old and eventually die, while he remains forever young.

His sole confidant and current lifelong friend is sage jazz club owner Omar (Stephen Henderson), the keeper of Amsterdam’s incredible secret as well as a few of his own.

But when Amsterdam suffers and then recovers from what appears to be a massive heart attack while chasing a suspect he realises that the Indian girl’s prophesy might finally be coming true…and his soul mate must be nearby.

The long-awaited season seven of Curb Your Enthusiasm, featuring the cast of Seinfeld, goes to air on GO! on Sunday, December 27 at 9.30pm.

The new season finds Larry continuing to cope with the aftermath of his separation from Cheryl, and in an attempt to win her back he calls upon the original Seinfeld cast to do something that people have been demanding for the last 10 years – have a Seinfeld reunion. All four original Seinfeld cast members make cameo appearances throughout the season and give us a faux glimpse of what is was like behind the scenes of the classic comedy hit.

When Larry isn’t focused on the reunion he is up to his usual neurotic antics, like yelling at kids with a lemonade stand and attempting a pre-emptive break-up with Loretta after finding out she is ill and will need 24-hour care.

As well as the Seinfeld cast, Curb Your Enthusiasm will feature special guests such as Catherine O’Hara, Christian Slater, Richard Lewis, Rosie O’Donnell, Meg Ryan and Elisabeth Shue, and regulars Ted Danson, Wanda Sykes, Richard Lewis and Vivica A. Fox.

As sex scandals swirl around Tiger Woods, GO! has got its hands on the television debut of Jaimee Grubbs, one of his many ladies.

Grubbs – who claims to have had an affair with Woods for two-and-a-half years – stars in the first season of Tool Academy, a reality show dedicated to taking the most arrogant, dishonest, thoughtless and unfaithful boyfriends and transforming them into husband material.

Aside from Grubbs and her disinterested boyfriend Shawn, Tool Academy helps eight other frustrated women who are all dating complete “tools”, including Jenna, whose boyfriend Ryan is kind and caring –  until he turns into his alter ego “Matsu-Flex”, a tattooed tool who feeds off the attention of other women and gets around clubs in nothing but underwear which he calls his “man panties”.

Each week therapist Trina Dolenz uses her supreme powers to detect a truly incorrigible tool and eliminate one of the contestants. Upon elimination, the tool in question  gets one shot at convincing his girlfriend that he is able to change before she decides on the spot whether or not to dump him for good.

In the end only one tool will remain and win a cash prize of $100,000 – and the  title of “Mr Awesome”.

Tool Academy premieres on GO! at the special time of Sunday, December 6 at 8.30pm and then screens on Tuesdays at 9.30pm

The Nine Network’s new free-to-air channel, GO!, announced today a sensational new addition to the current schedule – which has already proven to be a massive ratings success.

Coming in October, GO! will present all new Australian premiere episodes of some of the world’s most anticipated television series including THE WIRE (series 5), CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (series 6), WEEDS (series 3), and the premiere of the hottest new series direct from the United States this Fall TV season – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.

Adding to this already must-watch line up are hit series from Comedy Central, the breathtakingly irreverent and ruthlessly funny SOUTH PARK, and the hilarious, unscripted adventure and high-octane thriller RENO 911, which were secured as part of a new content partnership between GO! and MTV Networks International.

“We are thrilled to secure this new content, not only because of its enormous appeal, but because it is a perfect fit for GO! and its key demographic target audience of 14-39 year olds,” said Les Sampson, Head of Acquisitions and Programming for GO!.
