Just another day in Summer Bay...

As the storm gets worse, the resident of Summer Bay are spread over various locations. An evacuation centre has been set up at the school by Gina, Miles and Bianca, but with water leaking through the ceiling… it’s not looking as safe as they thought. Colleen is being her usual self and terrifying everyone by screaming that they are all in danger; she can feel it! Casey is in a bad mood, and in turn is taking out his frustrations on Ruby. The two bicker about him dropping out of school for most of the episode (while mopping a never ending stream of water down the school stairs), until Ruby makes a joke about the River Boys and Casey takes it to heart. Casey tells her she doesn’t have to worry about him anymore, because they are over.

Romeo manages to get Harvey to the safety of his 4WD, but his path is blocked by fallen trees and branches. As he tries to reverse out of there, he spins his wheels and nearly ends up over the edge of a cliff. Romeo carries Harvey out of the car, manages to somehow pull the 4WD up and out of the cliff’s edge, carries Harvey back into the car and gets them both to the hospital. What a hero. Alf and Roo are pleased they made it back, as is Indy; who was sure she had lost Romeo to the storm. Dennis is impressed with Romeo and Alf’s brave efforts, and tells Romeo that when the new Marina opens, he will be sending all his charter business their way. Nice.

VJ is at the school evacuaition centre with Miles, but is so worried about his Mum being alone at the diner that he too braves the storm to be with her. Elijah who is also trapped at the diner, is left in the awkward position of being with his ‘old’ family for a while. He sees Leah in pain, but she shrugs it off. As the night goes on, Leah seems to be getting worse, before she reveals that she is bleeding and scared that she is losing the baby.

Back at the school, Bianca begins to see a new side to Heath as he tends to his daughter Darcy. That is, until Tegan shows up and takes her back out into the storm. Good parenting by both parties. Bianca tries to talk to Heath, but he snaps at her, telling her to get out of his face.

All of a sudden the lights go out, and Gina, Miles and Bianca begin to usher everyone to a different part of the school. As the leaking water worsens, Heath sees that Bianca is in danger, and runs to her. Casey and Miles look on as part of the ceiling collapses on top of Heath and Bianca, trapping them underneath the rubble.

On the upside, worse things have happened to Bianca over the past few weeks. I would say being trapped under a river boy (and by this I mean actually underneath him) would probably be a highlight for her

Well the storm has officially rolled into Summer Bay tonight; complete with torrential rain, dark and stormy skies, lightening, and some fairly average special effects!

Romeo is pressured by Dennis into taking the Blaxland out into the storm to win the charter Roo set up for him. After having been told off by Alf for even thinking about going out in such weather, Romeo holds his ground and tells Dennis it’s too dangerous for all of them. Dennis is not impressed, and hits Harvey up with the idea instead. Harvey doesn’t need much convincing, and jumps at the chance to take the clients out. Assuring Roo that they will be out and back before the storm makes an impact; she decides to head out with them.

Now I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this in a sarcastic way… The whole heading out on a boat in the middle of the biggest storm the place has ever had… really smart move on everyone’s part! Sure enough, once Alf finds out Roo is on the boat, they check in at the surf club to hear a ‘Mayday’ call from the boat they are on. Romeo and Alf jump into the car to brave the storm themselves and save the stupid people who decided that a boat ride was a good idea.

Now while the storm is running rampant, the residents of Summer Bay are listening to their radios (and the warnings to stay indoors). So for some unknown reason, nearly everyone seems to be out running around and chasing after people. Weird that. Sid and Dexter are on the lookout for Sasha, Sasha and her brother are wandering the streets, April is closing up the diner, Xavier is trying to get back home to John, Romeo and Alf are out looking for Roo, and Indy is out looking for Romeo! What a mess!

Sasha and her brother struggle to find shelter, and do the only normal thing they can think of…break into someone else’s house. Luckily for them, the house they picked to wander into was the same house John Palmer was face down on the floor of. Sasha panics and rings Sid, who talks her through it and sends an ambulance round to collect John. Strangely enough he forgets to ask why she is at their house, and as soon as the ambulance has taken John to hospital, Sasha begins stealing all their stuff. Nice girl that one. Xavier comes home and catches her in the act, but she manages to push him off her and run out the door (Yes Xavier, this does mean you just got beaten up by a girl).

Romeo and Alf rush to the aid of the Roo and the others, who seem to have somehow managed to get themselves shipwrecked in the National Park? Also weird. Alf rescues Roo and Dennis, who are both shaken up, but ok. “All of a sudden the boat tipped over, and there was water everywhere…” Really Roo? Did you actually expect anything less? Romeo goes back on his own to find Harvey, and when he finally does, he manages to find himself and his 4WD just short of heading over a cliff. Looks like there will be lots more stormy drama tomorrow night!

On a side note, What I like most about this storm is that it has finally made the people of Summer Bay close their windows and doors! Hooray! :P

Well in case you haven’t seen the previews on TV this past week, there is a storm about to hit Summer Bay, And not just an ordinary storm, but a MEGA storm!!

While nothing too stormy happened tonight, it looks like the upcoming episodes will contain some typical Home and Away drama. It has been a while since they have had a true disaster, and they always do it well. So strap yourself in, beacuse according to channel seven we are in for a ‘Wild Week’.

In tonight’s episode, Irene finally talks to Leah about her upcoming breast cancer surgery. She also talks to Marilyn, who has been though it before and is keen to help. With Irene nessding time off, and Leah pregnant, well it looks like Colleen will be running the show at the diner for a little while. That should be interesting. Enter Sasha, Sid’s secret daughter, who is fifteen, not at school, and desperate for a job doing anything. My guess is she will be full time waitress at the diner within the week; provided the diner doesn’t blow away in the storm that is.

Xavier is home from the farm, and trying to catch up on his school work. Pity he is having trouble concentrating with John on the couch behind him. John, bored out of his mind living on the couch with his broken ankle pesters Xavier to check the weather report. After Xavier’s first weather report of “it’s cool, nothing to worry about” (nice work Xavier), John tells him he needs to get down to the beach and close it immediately. While Xavier is off closing the beach, John appears to have a heart attack and collapses onto the floor. Poor John, he has had a bit of a rough week.

Sasha is having serious trouble settling in with her new family, and is quite possibly the most annoying person ever. Rejecting everyone’s hospitality, and being rude to everyone she encounters are some top qualities. As the Walker family begin bracing the farm for the storm. Sasha does a disappearing act after she gets a phone call from her little brother. Seems like he too is having trouble with his new family, and has run away to be with his sister. Sasha is nice to someone for the first time ever, and tells her brother she is going back to the city with him to fix this.

Romeo and Alf are in serious trouble after last weeks escapades, having lost their moring and most likely their business on the Blaxland. Roo somehow manages to find one last client for them, and Romeo begins to organise the best charter ever. Um, don’t know if you noticed the whole storm thing Romeo, but I’m guessing it’s not a good idea to be going out in a boat?

Looks like the storm is in full force tomorrow night, we will just have to wait and see what the damage is!

- Xavier turns up at the farm to surprise Kelly, and she is thrilled to see him. Hmm… maybe it is true love?

- Gina struggles with Xavier’s depature.

- Charlie makes a decision about her relationship with Brax.

Well what a week we had in Summer Bay.

Brax is layed up in hospital, and Tegan drops the bombshell on him that he is Darcy’s father. Nothing like a bit of a guilt trip to try and keep the bloke around. While Brax is shocked at first, and demands a DNA test, the next thing you know he is convinced Darcy is his (no DNA required) and is in full Dad mode. Charlie comes to realisation that she wants to be with Brax, and goes to the hospital to visit him. Pity Brax is already thinking about how he is going to make it up to his supposed daughter, and barely remembers who Charlie is. Charlie who thought they were on the same page (but clearly weren’t) gets blown off by Brax, and she is left heartbroken again. Just the usual way Charlie’s relationships tend to end these days.

Miles and Leah are happy about their big news… and since neither of them can keep their mouth shut for longer than 5 seconds, well their secret preganancy was in the town gossip by lunchtime. While Miles is happy about the situation, Leah does not look quite as enthused. They tell VJ he is going to have a little brother or sisiter, but he’s not too happy about it either. Hmm, what to do? Well the first thing that pops into Mile’s head is an engagement. He plans a perfect evening for the two of them, but Leah cancels after a long day at work. He tries again with a romantic breakfast, but Leah forgot to tell hims he got called in to work. A very frustrated Miles cracks it, and drags Leah out of the diner and down to the end of the pier. My first thought was that perhaps he was going to push her in, but instead he pulls out a ring and asks her to marry him! (Probably a better option than pushing her in the water). However, Leah turns him down, and tells him she has no plans to change her mind! Awkward much? The two talk later and decide that there is no need to rush things just because their having a baby together. Leah suggests that maybe they should try living together first. Miles is happy with this arrangement, my main worry is where exactly they are going to live? Does Miles have to move in with Charlie & Ruby, or does Leah have to move in with Marilyn & Alf & Roo & whoever else lives in that house?

Sid’s ex wife shows up in the bay, and no one is all that happy to see her. Indy and Dexter attempt to forgive her, but both find it difficult to. Bianca and Liam try to get back on track, but things are far from perfect. Bianca struggles to get intimate and open up, and Liam is getting frustrated with not being able to help. Bianca refuses outside help, and continues pushing everyone away and driving them all nuts. It all comes to a head when Kelly tries to apologise for her brother’s actions, and Bianca loses it at her and then goes all weird. Finally she comes around, telling everyone that she does need help, and she will go and see a counselor.

Kelly feels like everyone in Summer Bay hates her, and refuses to leave the house. Now that her brother is in jail, her mother is also having a hard time running the farm on her own. Xavier is his usual annoying self, telling Kelly that he can’t live without her and would miss her too much if she moved back home. The next day she is packed and ready to leave, hugs Xavier goodbye and leaves him in his sad and sorry state. hen Gina and John return home, they find a note from Xavier saying that he has gone to be with Kelly, and he isn’t coming back. Oh well, that’s a shame.

While Brax is off playing Dad, Casey overhears his Mum and Tegan talking, and it turns out Darcy is not his kid after all. Casey is torn over what to do, but eventually tells his brother that Tegan is lying to him. Brax confronts Tegan, and soon gets the truth out of her. Darcy is in fact Heath’s daughter, and Tegan blames Brax as he is the reason why Darcy’s father is in jail… hah! Brax is then left with the task of telling Darcy that he is not her father (seriously, how did you get roped into that?). Brax tells Dracy that even though he is not her Dad, he will still be there for her. She takes it well, and besides he is still her Uncle so it’s all good. Ruby tells Charlie that Darcy isn’t Brax’s daughter after all, and this gives her hope. She goes down to the beach to sit with Brax, and he tells her that he forgot what a handful Tegan can be. Charlie asks ‘even more than me?’, and he laughs and says she is not even close to Tegan. She is so far above her it’s not even funny. Aww, how sweet. Now fingers crossed we don’t have to deal with Tegan again!
