Just another day in Summer Bay...

What’s Happening on Home and Away…

Wednesday 17/08/11

- Dexter just wants everyone to stop fighting, although he is also slightly worried that his parents are looking to reconcile. Poor kids, they’ve been through so many mothers they don’t even want their own anymore.

- Roo’s attempt to help Alf (Roo helping someone… how unusual?) results in a surprise decision.

- Bianca is still struggling after her attack, and her fear of being initimate is putting pressure on her and Liam’s relationship.

What’s Happening on Home & Away… Tuesday 16/08/11

- Sid struggles to deal with his ex wife Jody being back in the bay.

- Indy tries to forgive her mother for disappearing on them.

- Alf gets some bad news from the council.

- Miles tells Sid that he is still taking medication for depression, and is worried that it might affect his and Leah’s baby.

Keep an eye out this week for previews of each episode, followed by a weekly wrap up ( a review of every episode this week) on Friday. :)

What’s Happening…

Monday 15/08/11

- Tegan is residing by Brax’s bedside after Charlie finds out that Tegan’s daughter belongs to Brax.

- Brax himself gets the life changing news that he has a daughter!

- Leah and Miles find it impossible to keep their big news to themselves. They tell VJ that soon he will have a little brother of sister, but he is less than impressed.

- Sid and Roo’s romantic get together is interupted by a surprise visitor… Indy and Dexter’s Mother! Well won’t that be awkward…?

Well, after last night’s heartbreaking episode of Charlie finding out that Brax slept with Tegan, the drama continued tonight. Charlie wakes up looking a little worse for wear, and Ruby is on her for the details. After explaining that she didn’t sleep well last night, Ruby puts it down to seeing Brax. Charlie stomps around like a teenager, snapping at her daughter that she doesn’t want to talk about it. “I just want to forget the whole thing”. Once Ruby learns that Charlie caught Brax in bed with Tegan, she is shocked and ready to knock Brax out, but more importantly is there to support her mother.

Casey isn’t much happier with his brother’s behaviour, not understanding why he used Tegan when he is in love with Charlie. Brax explains with his usual ‘It’s complicated’, but Casey keeps pushing him. Brax tells casey that they are all in danger… including Charlie and Ruby. ‘For their sakes, they need to believe I’m with Tegan’. Not exactly sure why this is, but I presume that Brax has some sort of plan in place? Charlie runs into Brax on the beach and he tries to explain himself. Charlie is sure that Brax has just come up with more lies, and tells him how hurt she is that he slept with Tegan while supposedly being in love with her. Brax turns it around, saying that Charlie was the one to walk away, and she has no say over what her does with his life now. We should have know that this relationship disaster, despite Brax being the one who cheated, would still be blamed on Charlie; it usually is.

Sid plans a romantic dat for him and Roo (well actually, he just puts on the same date that Roo planned last week and he couldn’t make it to, but still…), and gives Romeo a large wad of money to get it ready as soon as possible. As Romeo is planning, Alf puts the grand idea in his head that he should take Indy along as the deckhand. Try and get her to forgive her Dad and warm up to Roo. Seems like a terrible idea, but for some reason Romeo makes it happen. Roo is surprised (oh wow…the date I planned last week… Sid you shouldn’t have!), but more surprised when she realises she has to spend the day with Indy. The day is a disaster (well aside from Indy spilling champagne all over Roo; that was just funny), and Indy is no closer to getting past her father and Roo’s relationship. What a waste.

Heath has the bright idea of moving the drugs he and Tegan stashed as he needs the money. Tegan is hysterical telling Heath that Jake will kill him if her steals those drugs, and Casey tries his hardest to talk his brother out of it. He follows Heath to the beach, where he sees him carrying the backpack and already being spoke to by polices (that didn’t take long did it?). Charlie asks him where he is going a with a full bag, and then asks him to open it. Heath looks over at Casey, winks and tries to make a run for it. The cops do a dive tackle and put him face down in the sand. Finally they are able to charge a river boy with something! Looks like Heath is going to jail… He tells Brax not to waste his money on trying to get him out. He messed up, and he knows Casey is looking up to the right brother. Bless.

Brax’s response of ‘Blood and Sand’ doesn’t really answer much, but sounds super cool.

Tomorrow Night – Roo and Sid struggle with Indy’s feelings towards them and Dexter tries to talk to his sister about it. Looks like there might be something else on Indy’s mind that is bothering her though…

Well in true Summer Bay style, tonight’s episode contained a relationship break up, a bit of fortune telling and a backpack full of drugs. What a combination right? Charlie and Brax seem to have spilt, and both are having deep conversations with Ruby and Casey about it. It seems that the teens are over the shock of the secret relationship and are now pushing for Charlie and Brax to get back together. Leah is happy that Charlie has put herself and the rest of them out of danger by not seeing Brax anymore (and fair enough too, as it is her house and all), but Ruby is not as convinced. She knows her mother is in love with Brax, and doesn’t understand why they would throw it away after keeping it a secret for so long.

Roo and Marilyn are being overly nice to each other and driving everyone mad. Marilyn answers the phone at the house and it’s Sid looking for Roo (that has to be awkward), but she brushes it off and continues flitting around in her usual manner. The next thing you know, Marilyn has the old Tarot Cards out and is doing a bit of a practice run on herself. Alf suggests that she do a reading for Roo, and Marilyn jumps at the chance. She gets most things right too (a man who tricked her in the past, a business partner who took something from her; spot on), but when she gets to the future she freezes up. Looks like there is trouble coming for Roo and Sid. Roo shrugs it off, saying lucky she doesn’t believe in superstition (and yet still manages to look more than a little worried at the same time).

Argh annoying Tegan is back hassling the Braxton brothers saying she is in serious trouble and needs their help. Brax tells her to knick off, but Heath offers to help by stashing the bag of drugs she has underneath the house where Casey is living. They don’t really hide it that well, as Casey sees them doing it and runs straight to Brax. Brax loses it at both of them, angry that they would so something so stupid when the cops are watching them. Not to mention, putting Casey and the other people who live in that house at risk. Casey and Ruby still aren’t speaking, and Charlie’s comment of “maybe Casey is having toruble being a Braxton at the moment” sounds about right. I think Casey might be doing you a favour Ruby…?

Brax tells Tegan that she needs to find somewhere else to hide the drugs. Tegan blames Brax for the mess she is in, saying that if he hadn’t gone to the cops none of this would have happened. Apparantly this is his and his stupid cop girlfriends fault. Brax corrects her with “I don’t have a girlfriend anymore”, and the next thing the two are kissing. Seriously Brax? How do you go from being in love with Charlie one minute, to sleeping with someone you supposedly hate the next? Ive never understood how things like that happen? Ruby finally manages to get through to Charlie, saying that is she really loves Brax they can make it work. Charlie gets all dressed up and heads over to make things right with Brax. Of course, when he opens the door she sees a half naked Tegan in his bed (could she be anymore annoying?), and in shock gets out of there as quickly as she can. Totally heartbreaking.

Tomorrow Night – Charlie comes back distraught, telling Ruby to keep her opinions to herself next time, Brax attempts to explain himself to Charlie, and Heath tries to move the bag of drugs undetected.

Well tonight we had another big episode featuring the Braxton brothers…Heath is charged with possession and released on bail tonight, and as usual is being his charming self. He strolls into the diner, and no one in the town looks pleased to see him out of jail. Ruby and Casey freak out when they see him, with Ruby running straight to Charlie, and Casey running straight to Brax. Ruby is worried about her mother now that Heath is out, and is scared about what he might do to her if he finds out about her relationship with Brax. Charlie assures her daughter that she is taking care of it, and nothing is going to happen to her. Casey has a similar conversation with Brax, and he warns his little brother that this is why he doesn;t want him involvedc in any of this.

Roo has gone missing after she walked out on Sid, and when Alf finds out he does the ring around, but she is nowhere to be found. Marilyn overhears that she and Sid have had a falling out, and instead of jumping for joy like most normal people would, she actually feels sorry for Roo? Marilyn seems to be abck to her bubbly self, and has appeared to have moved on with her life. Roo finally turns up after spending the night in a motel (why does she not just tell Indy to suck it up, and go back to her own place I don’t know), and Morag informs everyone that she is going back to the city. Which means, Roo can move into the spare room at the Summer Bay house, with her Dad and Marilyn and Miles. Awkward set up, lets see how long that lasts hey?

Morag has a warning talk with step-daughter Charlie about her career and her relationship with Brax. Charlie explains that she knows all this, and has thought of all the scenarios. But apparantly she is in love with Brax. Oh dear, something tells me this is going to change everything. Leah also has a talk with Charlie, telling her that both she and Ruby are terrified of the river boys finding out. Charlie learns that Liam was bashed, but is too afraid to go to the cops about it. Surely she must be starting to see everyones point now? Charlie speaks to Brax, and he assures her that is he thought that she or her family were in danger Heath wouldn’t be out of jail. The two agree that they need to lay low for a while, but Brax tells Charlie that nothing is going to keep them apart…. Aww. Casey also has a change of heart, pushing (and by pushing, I mean physically pushing) Ruby out of his house. Apparantly because of Charlie and Brax’s relationship, them seeing each other is a bad idea. Casey clearly doesn’t want Ruby anywhere near this one. In quite possibly the most awkward scene ever, the two stand leaning against opposite sides of a glass door staring at each other all upset.

Back at the police station, the Inspector informs Charlie that they have had a major breakthrough in the drugs case. One of the River Boys has cooperated and given them the leader and where the money has been laundered. ‘Great’ says  Charlie, that is until she steps out of her office and sees who it is they are dragging in. Yes, you guessed it; Brax. The insepctor wants Charlie to sit in on the interview ‘If it wasn’t for you we would never have nailed him’. Charlie agrees, but looks like she is about ot be sick the whole time. The interview doesn’t get far as Brax is quite tricky, but he doesn’t deny anything either. Charlie turns a whiter shade of pale when she realises the warnings everyone has been giving her just might be true after all.

Charlie and Brax have another meet up after the interview, and Charlie is less than impressed. She asks Brax straight out if he his laundering drug money into the restaraunt, and when he says is she asking as a cop or as his girlfriend, she realises the mistake she has made. She tells him what an idiot she has been, and that it’s her own fault for falling in love with him. He tells her he is in love with her too, but Charlie says that it is just not enough. Poor Charlie, why are ALL her relationships such a mess all the time? Every single one just seems to end in a trainwreck, and if the promos for next week are anythign to go by, it’s only going to get worse for her. Yes, even though she was reckless in all of this, I still feel quite sorry for her? And I do like the Charlie/Brax relationship… I am quite torn over this whole situation… :S

Next Week – Brax is upset that Charlie has walked away from their relationship, Ruby tells her Mum that if she is in love with Brax; surely they can make it work, and when Charlie goes to patch things up she finds Brax in bed with Tegan. Poor, poor Charlie.

Well tonight’s main attraction was definately Roo… as much as her character annoyed me at the start, she is just full of entertainment these days. The episode kicks off with Roo, Sid and Dexter at the farm playing “happy families”. Roo is making breakfast and they all look very settled, lucky Indy and Dexter are used to having their “Mum” switched on them every few months. They seemed to have learnt how to adapt to their fathers instability. Indy comes to collect some books, and Roo suggest that they all have a family dinner. Indy doesn’t look too happy about that, and is clearly still annoyed at Roo for breaking up her Dad and Marilyn. Within a minute everyone has cleared out, and Roo is left all on her lonesome. *sigh*.

Xavier and Kelly struggle with whether or not to tell Gina that they are a little bit ‘more than friends’, and while Kelly wants to be upfront with Gina, Xavier is against telling his Mum. He is worried that once she finds out, she will kick Kelly out of the house and she will be left with nowhere to stay. Or even worse, have to go back to where she came from! Apparantly Xavier really likes this girl (well weve heard that one before), and he can’t stand the thought off being so far away from her. Number one; you barely know this girl, and number two; a few hours drive won’t kill you buddy. Xavier finally works up the courage to tells his Mum, who is surprisingly cool with it and allows Kelly to stay. Apparantly Xavier’s honesty has paid off.

Roo is struggling with her new relationship and sudden family with Sid. She meets Elijah in the diner with a box of mango’s she just bought (strange I know) for the “3 of them”. Marilyn who also happens to be in the diner overhears and quickly mutters “1 of you”, and gives Roo a helpful tip that both Sid and Dexter hate manog’s. Not such a good idea. Roo comes up with a better plan, organising a romantic evening on the Blaxland for her and Sid. She goes to a lot of trouble, Romeo sets up the boat, Colleen makes a picnic basket, and just as she is on her way there Sid phones and tells her he has to work a double shift and cant make it. Poor Roo.

After a night at the farm watching Dexter and April all over each other, Dexter freaking out about the weird smell in the house (and Roo shouting ok I hid a box of mango’s in the pantry), and then the final kick in the guts of April giving her “tips” on how to cook a roast, well it’s no wonder she has had enough. By the time Sid gets home, Roo has packed up her suitcase and tells him that it’s too early for her to become a housewife. Good on ya Roo!

On the upside, the romantic date that Roo had planned got to be used by Romeo and Indy. Romeo actually did a really nice job of setting it up, with a private table, champagne and candles on a secluded part of the beach. Very romantic. The two have a lovely time, and Indy even forgives Roo after she sees how much effort she put in for her Dad. The best part about it; Romeo has a idea for the business to start up ‘Romantic Dinner Cruises’. Sounds like a winner to me.

Tomorrow Night – Heath is released on bail, Roo makes a decision about her living arrangements, and Charlie realises how much she cares for Brax, and just how involved in the River Boys he actually is.

Well, after Monday and Tuesday’s exciting episode, tonight’s was a bit of a dud. After last night’s big episode that saw Ruby and Casey finally learning the truth about Charlie and Brax, Liam getting involved in the River Boys police mess, a river boy threatening Bianca, April and Liam and then eventually Liam getting beaten bad… well lets just say tonight’s episode was definately missing a bit of spark.

Liam goes to hospital to get checked out, but refuses to get the police involved. He says he ‘fell off his bike’ but Sid and Irene and pretty much everyone else in the room know he is lying. Sid states that his injuries point to assalt, but Liam shrugs it off and says he just wants to get out of there. He even shrugs off the offer of drugs for the pain. Well at least Rehab was good for something.

Bianca and Irene take him home, Irene finds out that heath was Liam’s drug dealer and freaks out when she realises that Liam’s attack was a warning. Bianca wants Liam to stay in her room but he refuses, opting for the couch instead. Now, one question I have to ask is why, WHY after you had a river boy threaten you and beat you up do you NOT close the front door! Or like close the curtains or something?Liam actually spent the night on the couch, after being attacked with the front door and windows WIDE open. What is with Summer Bay and people not locking (or even closing for that matter) their doors? Weird. Bianca and Liam tip toe round each other until she snaps and the two yell and scream for a few minutes. Bianca doesnt want Liam to testify against Heath, but Liam is certain that it is something he needs to do.

Roo and Sid awkwardly have lunch with Alf and Morag, and while Roo thinks it’s because her Dad is dissapointed in her, it’s really because he is worried. He knows Sid’s track record, and his worried his daughter is going to get hurt. Aww… the highlight of the episode had to be the part where Roo bursts into the house and starts yelling at her Dad, before having to stop mid converstaion as Miles, Elijah, Morag and Marilyn are all standing in the kitchen staring at them. That was quality television.

Now the only other thing that really happened involved Xavier, his new friend/housemate Kelly, a horse, rising into the sunset and ‘rolling around in the hay’ (quite literally). If that doesn’t make you roll your eyes in disgust, well I don’t know what will really?

Tomorrow Night – Xavier confesses to his Mum about his new romance with Kelly, and Roo organises a special date for Sid. Yawn.

Well tonight’s episode was full of River Boys drama, Braxton drama and Buckton drama. This was actually the only thing going on in Summer Bay tonight. Roo and Alf are acting all weird with each other, and Im pretty sure this is because Alf feels the ‘stewart’ name is being dragged through the mud so to speak. He is definately not a big fan on the the whole roo and Sid relationship. This however, is a VERY small, minute part of a BIG episode dedicated to the coppers and the Braxton brothers. And here we go…

After the drug raid in the last episode, Charlie arrests both gangs and brings them in for questioning. Charlie receives praise from her boss for finally nabbing the boys on something, but Charlie is looking less than pleased. I’m guessing this is beacuse she is feeling insanely guilty about the whole situation. Yes love, you are definately too close to this one. The cops question Heath, but he is tricky as usual and they get nowhere. Charlie threatens to put him in the cell with the rival gang, and he doesnt take this too well. As they are leading him away, he makes a break for it, knocking several police officers over and heading straight for Charlie. Other female police officer tasers Heath to the ground, which seems like a good idea at the time, until he goes into shock and has a seizure on the station floor. Big boss gets grumpy at female police officer and says tasers are a last option (but seriously, what was she supposed to do? How many male police ifficers were in that room? A few get pushed out of the way, and the others just stand there; including big boss. The women have to take action here boys!). Man I havent seen that taser since Charlie went crazy and kidnapped that guy Grant and torture-tasered him. Now THAT was a classic episode.

Brax arrives at the station, and Charlie tells him that there was an incident. When Brax hears his brother is in hospital, he goes all ‘river boy’ on her and very cold. Charlie tells him she didn’t mean for any of this to happen (not sure why she is apologising when she didnt do anything wrong) but Brax isnt very forgiving. Heath is in the hospital along with a handful of police guards, and Brax, casey and Ruby arrive to see him. Charlie is put under pressure from her boss after Heath made an earlier remark of ‘we are practically family Buckton’, and once he learns that her daughter is going out with the youngest Braxton he warns Charlie of the potential risk. Denying that there is any other personal connection (yeah i’m pretty sure dating a Braxton is a connection), she tells him it is understood.

Heath regains conciousness, and is ok although still under arrest. Brax promises his brother he is going to do everything to get him out and avoid jail time. The Braxton family lawyer is already on the way. Meanwhile, Charlie is home after her mega day and Ruby is still suspicious. Charlie gets a text, tells Leah she wont be staying for dinner and says she has to go out for a while. Ruby doesn’t buy this at all, and does the only logical thing she can; follow her mother out into the darkness. Charlie meets up with Brax, the two talk and Charlie apologises over and over. Brax tells her its not her fault, and that he was the one who gave the police the tip off. Everything is ok between them, and the two share a kiss, before getting into Brax’s car. All of which Ruby witnesses (her jaw nearly on the ground in shock).

When Charlie gets home, Ruby (good responsible daughter that she is) is up waiting and aske her mother where she has been. ‘Just out’ doesn’t cut it, and Ruby spills that she saw her with Brax. ‘This is so messed up’ Ruby says as Leah walks into the room wanting to know what all the noise is about. Ruby asks Leah is she knew, and she shrugs and says she kind of suspected it. Oh dear, wonder how many other summer bay residents have noticed this? Charlie makes Ruby promise that she will not tell Casey because of the risk that it will be putting all of them in. Lets see how long Ruby can keep her mouth shut for shall we?

Tomorrow Night – Ooops, Ruby has spilled the secret to Casey already, and the two are not happy about Brax and Charlies secret. Charlie tries to get Liam to testify against Heath.

Well well. yet another classic home and away episode tonight. It seems as though the cops may have FINALLY gotten somewhere with the River Boys, Ruby digs a little deeper into Charlie’s secret love life, Indy struggles in her new house, Marilyn and Sid still hate each other, and to top it all off, Alf is stepping back and not helping people (including revoking his partnership with Romeo and letting him do it on his own…) What the?

The cops question a few more people, and Charlie tries to find out where Liam is staying so she can talk to him about his ‘dealer’ Heath. Charlie sends Brax a text saying they need to ‘talk’, and then anxiously checks her phone every five seconds waiting for his response. Ruby notices how distracted her mother is, and knows she is up to something dodgy. Just as Charlie steps away, her phone goes off and Ruby sneaks a peek at the the text message from DB (really Charlie? that was the best code name you could think of? the guy’s intials?) asking to meet up at the usual place. Very interesting. Ruby is definately more than a little suspicious after this.

Roo goes back to her place and is greeted by a still angry Indy. Romeo tells her that he thinks she doesn’t really feel at home yet, especially since last week she was living with her family, and this week she is living with her husband and a river boy. Yeah, I can understand why the poor girl might be confused. Roo has the brilliant idea of packing up some things from the farm for Sid to take to Indy to make her feel more at home. And, it actually works really well. That is until Marilyn shows up with a wedding present while Sid is there. Awkward. Indy tells her Dad that she will be nicer to Roo if he is nice to Marilyn. Indy goes to make tea in the tea pot her Dad just brought over, and after some painfully awkward chit chat, Marilyn realises that she is being served tea in the things that she brought for her and Sid at the farm. Double awkward. Everyone evil glares Sid for a bit, before Marilyn leaves quite upset.

Brax gets a surprise visit from Tegan (in the worst skanky outfit I have ever seen, I mean what was with the vest? quite unflaterring love….), who tells him that her new boyfriend is part of the rival gang and knows that Heath is planning a raid. Apparantly they will be ready and waiting for the River Boys with shotguns. (And one more thing, who goes into a restaraunt and puts their feet up on the furniture? I know she’s supposed to be rough or whatever, but still… eeeww). Brax tries to warn Heath, buyt he doesnt listen. Instead, he tips off Charlie using a ‘anonomous note’…complete with those kidnapping style letters and all. Nice. Brax’s tip off allows the cops to actually get to the trouble on time for once, and while Heath has a gun pointed in his face, the police turn up out of the shadows. Win. Charlie finally gets to arrest Health and the others. And it’s about time too, the police have been looking stupid for weeks now.

Next Week – Heath is still in the cop shop, Ruby follows Charlie and spys her with Brax (no way, secret relationship busted?), and Casey is angry when he finds out about his brother and that he may have been the one that put Heath in jail.
