An Australian version of So You Think You Can Dance will air next year on Channel Ten! Watch out for casting calls for auditions coming shortly. The show spans 12 weeks to find Australia’s best all round dancer.
Neighbours reveals a brand new theme tune and opening credits on July 23. The song is performed by Sandra de Jong. Look out for the new Parker family on the show too!

Seven has signed a major agreement with TiVo to bring the technology here to Australia in the first half of 2008. Seven will set up a digital platform which works nicely with TiVo.
The platform will be available for use by other broadcasters and broadband content owners to create an interactive, free to air digital terrestrial television offering.
The TiVo Service will be available across Australia and will include recognized TiVo features like SeasonPass recordings and WishList searches and allow users to access broadband content on their TV.

Tim Campbell who plays Dan Baker on Home and Away will be one of the contestants on this year’s sixth season of Dancing with the Stars.
Today’s New Zealand Herald on Sunday has an interview with 21-year-old Jodi Gordon who plays Martha Mackenzie on Home and Away.
“I did grow up watching it. Walking on set the first day and seeing Ray was so exciting. That first day I was freaking out. Just looking around going ‘Oh gosh, I’ve seen this all on TV.’ Walking into the Summer Bay diner was just overwhelming.”
“I think people related to it. And that beach life – Australians could relate to a lot of things that have happened on Home and Away. It was more about friendship, family, love. I had crushes on all the boys. Who was that one, the one that went out with Angel? Shane! Dieter Brummer, his name was. I actually saw him at the Logies one year, and thought, ‘Oh my god, it’s Shane!’”
She talks about filming her fatal wedding day on the soap. “I was running around in a wedding dress at 3am covered in ashes out in the middle of the bush – it was so much fun. Yes, it’s getting crazier – explosions, cyclones and stalkers but when they first did the stalker storyline it worked really well, lots of people liked it. I’d like them to get back to more heartfelt stories sometimes, though – family and understanding each other – rather than all the physical stuff.”
Popular soap Home and Away returns tonight and promises to be a great start to the year with Sally’s life hanging in the balance after she was stabbed by Rocco in the season finale.
