Channel Seven’s Dennis Cometti, Nathan Buckley and Tom Rehn were all recognised with awards at last night’s Australian Football Media Association Awards.

For the seventh year in a row, AFMA life member and former Alf Brown Trophy winner Dennis Cometti received the Most Outstanding Caller - Television award.

Nathan Buckley received the Most Outstanding Special Commentator – Television award, capping a remarkable debut year in the media where he has shone in special comments on Channel Seven’s football coverage.

Seven News’ journalist Tom Rehn was honoured and humbled to receive the inaugural Clinton Grybas Rising Star award for his exclusive story on the Tasmanian push for a team in the AFL.

“Channel Seven is absolutely thrilled and honoured that some of our finest and hard-working commentators and journalist received the recognition they deserve from their peers. It’s a credit to Dennis, Nathan and Tom and the team at Seven - we’re just so proud of them,” said Channel Seven Melbourne general manager Lewis Martin.
