Tonight’s episode of BETTER HOMES & GARDENS comes to you from the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS).

The Show has a long tradition of spectacular show gardens and 2008 is no exception, however this time they’re up against JASON HODGES entering for the first time! The cornerstones of Jason’s garden are sustainability and plants suitable to our climate, as well as a few ‘wow’ features like a glass plunge-pool and a mobile kitchen with an energy efficient BBQ bar.

Inspired by Jason’s eco garden, Tara takes a look at some sustainable, eco furnishings for inside the home; Johanna and Jason check out a variety of the best show gardens from this year’s MIFGS; Fast Ed breaks in Jason’s eco barbie with some delicious snacks; Graham has a look at some new gardening products showcased at this years MIFGS, and – of course – his eyes are bugging out as he gets a look at some new release plants; cutting edge student gardens; and Dr Harry reveals how you can breed butterflies at home with a butterfly starter kit.
