After making her grand entrance into the Big Brother house, Pamela Anderson visited one of the stores of the shows major sponsors to protest KFC's treatment of chickens.
The buxom 41 year old ambassador for animal welfare group PETA visited a Gold Coast outlet where she hand delivered a letter and accompanying video addressed to Albert Baladi, the managing director of KFC's Australian parent company Yum! Restaurants International. The letter claimed that the fast food chain's suppliers scald chickens to death in defeathering tanks.
The letter reads:
"I've been in Australia filming Big Brother House, in which my housemates and I are confined and sealed off from the outside world, much like the chickens who are crammed inside barns for KFC."
"Fortunately, I won't be stomped to death, have my legs broken or be scalded to death in a tank of hot water, yet as PETA's undercover videos have revealed, the chickens raised for KFC's restaurants in Australia often suffer these abuses."
You can just imagine how happy the sponsors must be over all this extra publicity.
What do you think of the protest?
