8.00PM TUESDAY / MAY 13

As summer draws to a close, Victorian Lifeguard Matt Dee reflects he has not done one rescue this season. It¹s a remarkable feat given Deano has done 87 rescues. Matt suspects he may have super hero powers that make swimmers safe whenever he is on patrol. It looks like he is going to break his luck and is called down to do a rescue.

As usual, as soon as he arrives the swimmer miraculously finds his feet and is safe. A surfer is dumped by a wave and is in severe pain. Whippet goes out to rescue her and brings her back to shore in great pain. She was surfing with her boyfriend who arrived from England that morning. A broken rib means she will spend their two week surfing holiday on dry land.

After being the first international lifeguard seconded to Bondi, it¹s time to say goodbye to Hawaiian Kyle. After knock off time, the lifeguards throw a farewell barbie at Bronte for Kyle. During the speeches, Hoppo spots someone a long way out to sea. It's almost dark and a dangerous time to be in the water. It's decided Kyle should go in for his last rescue. Out in the water, lifeguards hear an unusual sound - laughter.

It seems someone has played a farewell trick on Kyle.

Lifeguards road test a surf safety presentation they will be taking to schools over winter. Using some tried and tested pantomime techniques; they entertain children while passing on some important information.

And that's it for another summer season on Bondi Beach.
