Bondi Rescue returns to our screens in 2008 with a dramatic first episode.

Our trusty Bondi Lifeguards are back for another season and they certainly have their work cut out for them. Over the course of the summer, beachgoers expect sun sand and surf, but it will take more
than just sunscreen to protect them and keep them safe during their visit to Bondi Beach.

In this episode, responding to a devastating call for help, the Lifeguards show how dangerous the
beach can be for children. One minute it’s their playground, the next they could be missing, drowning or worse.

We also rewind the clocks to the quiet winter season, when all lifeguards are re-tested and
evaluated on their skills and abilities, to make sure they have what it takes to hold a position as
Lifeguard on busy Bondi Beach. Will all the old favourite Lifeguards from Series 1 and 2 make it
back? After a quiet winter, is everyone fit enough for the job? Will Blake, the Rookie Lifeguard, be
promoted?

While Christmas Day is usually spent opening presents, over a big lunch with family and friends,
our Bondi Lifeguards, are working, protecting everyone on one of the busiest days of the year. For
one reveller, all their Christmases come at once when a Bondi Rescue Lifeguard saves them from
drowning.
