Bates Motel , well it’s slow, monochromatic and the first 15 minutes almost sent me to sleep – BUT WAIT! It does get better. You don’t need to have seen the movie Psycho at all and know who the characters represent, but it might help. To me this show is creepier than the movie though. But this is based now and not 53 years ago, when it was shocking.
Even if it’s a modern re-imagining and prequel to the movie Psycho (1960). This story begins with the earlier years of a teenage Norman Bates and his mother Norma who live in an old house overlooking the adjoining motel which they are renovating. This comes after a pretty grim earlier look at Norman’s life that will take some thinking sbout. Continue reading »
