New episodes of CSI: Miami have AGAIN been removed from Nine’s schedule.

Set to settle into 9pm Monday nights from March 7, CSI: Miami has been replaced with the premiere special Parkinson – The Frost Interview.

Michael Parkinson hosts this exclusive television event – interviewing the world’s other great TV talk show pioneer, the legendary David Frost. Includes the stories behind Frost’s famous Richard Nixon interview plus Frost’s discovery of the Two Ronnies and The Monty Python stars.

Then on Monday march 14 at 9.30pm, another premiere special: Frost on Parkinson.

In a rare event, legendary interviewer David Frost sits down with fellow renowned interviewer Sir Michael Parkinson. Held in Australia earlier this year, Frost talks to Parkinson about his stellar career and his personal life including the high’s and low’s.

No news on a new timeslot for CSI: Miami.

The last new episode for a while still remains scheduled for this Thursday night (March 3), 9.30pm after CSI.

Reports have surfaced on other TV based websites over the weekend that Two and a Half Men is to be replaced with The Big Bang Theory at 7pm weeknights.

At the time of posting (11.30am AEDT Mon Feb 28), this move has not officially been confirmed. EPGs and internet guides still have Two and a Half Men at 7pm at this stage.

Nine have so far issued no amendments on the subject and the advanced guide for the week starting March 13 still has Two and a Half Men scheduled for 7pm weeknights.

UPDATED: Big Bang at 7pm weeknights is happening only in Brisbane at this stage. Elsewhere, Two and a Half Men remains at 7pm.

When questioned about the rumours, my programming contact at Nine said he was aware of the reports but nothing had been confirmed yet.

With ratings for Two and a Half Men on the decline, Nine do need to take action on its 7pm weeknight timeslot – and it is likely to happen soon.

The Big Bang Theory may give them a short term gain, but seriously Nine need to look into a longer term solution as there are so far only three and a half seasons of the show.

Playing Big Bang at 7pm weeknights on top of its existing timeslots at other times on Nine and GO! will simply drive the show into the ground.

Live from the Oscars Red Carpet, Ryan Seacrest as advised that there will be an exclusive interview with Charlie Sheen on Today on US network NBC tomorrow morning (Monday morning US time).

Seven airs a shortened Today at 4am on the main channel as well as 9am on 7mate. Hopefully the Sheen interview will be left in as part of the show.

Given that Two and a Half Men airs on CBS, I can’t imagine the network being too thrilled about a rival broadcaster reaching an exclusive interview deal with him.

But, with the way Charlie is heading at the moment – who knows?

We’re another Ninja down this week as trainer Tiffiny Hall loses another of her weight loss warriors – Jarrod Duncan.

What a week it’s been as the Red Team took on all the others – 1 versus 3. Well what may have sounded like a disadvantage actually paid off and when Joe won The Contest and a 2kg advantage at the Weigh In. Without that 2kg, the Reds fell under the yellow line, but with it,

they won. Suddenly, every other contestant was up for Elimination and it was up to The Challenors – Nathaniel, Joe and newly returned Damien, to decide who goes.

Jarrod Duncan, although not losing huge numbers in the weekly Weigh Ins, is as strong a contender as this year’s families have faced – and that slapped a big target on his back.

Challenors… Take aim… Fire!!

Jarrod entered the competition weighing 143.3kg. He leaves 24.6 kg lighter but with a determination that will ensure he remains a threat for those weekly family Weigh Ins.

Only 2 White team members remain – it’s up to twins Meg and Emma to keep that Ninja flag flying – go girls!

How bad is this?

Who is Gaffadi?

They had it right a few stories down…

Who’s checking before it goes to air?

Yes – I know I make typos sometimes, but they are usually fixed as soon as they are spotted or brought to my attention – like “Wugby” yesterday and “Big Bnag Thoery”. Gaffadi was up for ages yesterday.

There are mistakes almost DAILY on Sky News Ative. Have someone checking the headlines.

I’d be happy to do it!

As of 24th February 2011, the TiVo On-Screen Program Guide will now include “up-to-the-minute” program times for Channel Nine instead of rounded half hour scheduling.

Nine has recently started to provide this program data and we are passing on this benefit to our customers.

This means that from this date onwards every single Network that provides up-to-the-minute program times will now be incorporated into your On-Screen TV guide as part of your TiVo Service.

Historically, all broadcaster(s) provided “rounded” times only and thus, the published times would usually display times to the nearest 1/2 hour (as an example). An “Up-to-the-minute” EPG displays the announced airtime (within 1 minute) of when the broadcaster intends to air the scheduled program. Actual air-times may still vary if the broadcaster has an unannounced program, re-schedule or cancellation (for example, in the event of breaking major news), but otherwise, your recording times will be much more reliable than they have been in the past.

Networks Seven, Nine, Ten & ABC also all display scheduled program start and finish times that are “up-to-the-minute”.

These more accurate program times should appear on TiVo following a successful update connection to the TiVo service any time after the early hours of the 24th of February.
