Senator Barnes has resigned in disgrace, and Alex can’t secure the support of the new Energy Committee Chair, who insists that, to remain competitive for the ethanol grant, the Duques will have
to acquire more sugar fields.

A tall order, but doable, if Alex can obtain titles to sugar fields in post-Castro Cuba. The Cuban landowners, to whom ownership of the fields will revert after Castro’s death, agree to promise their
land to Alex, but point out that much Cuban sugar acreage has already been sold to foreign investors.

Alex does some digging and discovers that one of those “foreign” investors is Joe Samuels, who has been illegally buying land in Cuba. Alex gets the proof he needs to bring Joe’s crime to light. Pancho finally tells Frank the truth about the Samuelses’ hand in Lucia’s death, which leads Frank to break things off with Ellis, who knew nothing about the murder.

After Frank’s revelation, Ellis confronts her father, and when he doesn’t deny his involvement, she turns her back on him. Meanwhile, Henry comes to Katie’s rescue when she discovers the sex tape Nick secretly made of them.

Molly feels liberated by her relationship with Sam, which has reached a new level. However, her other relationships are going through a period of turbulence.

Her divorce settlement proceedings are not going well, and she is trying to be a strong shoulder to Cricket, who has taken her husband back, but is unable to forgive him.

Molly’s attempts to get Joan on the wagon have also opened a rift between them.

WOMAN SEEKING DEAD HUSBAND, SMOKERS OKAY, NO PETS – Season 1, Episode 4

Lassiter and Juliet bring the widow of a notorious bank robber, Raylene, into the police station to warn her that her husband’s partners are being paroled. Raylene’s husband David buried the cash but died in car crash before he could divulge the location to Raylene – and four years on, the money has still not been recovered. Upon hearing that Raylene is a psychic enthusiast, Shawn and Gus leap at the chance to introduce themselves and be involved in the investigation.

Raylene becomes PSYCH’s first real client and asks Shawn to contact her husband’s spirit to ask where he buried the money, as she fears she will be killed by David’s accomplices otherwise.

Meanwhile, Lassiter and Juliet are on a stake out watching the bank robbers in the hope that they will lead them to the missing money. Having arrested them the first time around, Lassiter needs to locate the cash to close the case for good.

Back at the PSYCH office, Shawn conducts a séance with Raylene, David’s sister, and some other friends. Gus reminds Shawn that he’s not a psychic but nevertheless Shawn gets all the information he needs. It turns out that the last time anyone heard from David he was at his Cousin Roger’s place. Shawn and Gus decide it’s time for a road trip.

Coincidentally Roger runs the cemetery where David is buried, but when Shawn and Gus arrive to talk to him, a certain ‘dead’ husband answers the door
