celebrity_splash_logo (1)Non-Celebrity Splash has been dumped from its 7.30pm prime-time slot after tanking in the ratings.The move comes just over a week after Channel 7’s celebrity dive show made its debut.

Monday night’s first semi-final episode of Celebrity Splash only got 821,000 viewers nationally.

It was thrashed by rival Nine’s The Voice which averaged a whopping 1.962 million viewers.

Seven has now decided that Celebrity Splash’s second semi-final – scheduled for next Monday night – won’t screen at all. Celebrity Splash’s Grand Final will now screen on Thursday May 16 at 8.45pm. Continue reading »

844Since last Sunday, Seven have been promoting A Place to Call Home as airing 8.30 this Sunday.

A quick check of the EPG for Seven tonight reveals the new Seven period drama won’t start until 8.44pm.

Is it me or has SMASH done just that and smashed. Where has The Ivy and Karen story line gone? What happened to the great Bombshell show?

Ivy seems to have lost her spunk and sassiness while Karen seems like the constant victim. Julia is now an average character, Tom needs to get a grip and sleazy Derek now seems vulnerable – which I actually like, plus he truly loves Karen. After coming so close three years ago, the “new Tony” is determined to win this time, and is going to great lengths to convince us he’s a changed man. Even his gay sister is speaking out, to endorse the new and improved Tony Abbott – a 21st Century man who can admit the mistakes of his past. And while blood runs thicker than water it’s still a hard act for her to sell.
