TV Highlights

sevenChannel 7 is moving into the second phase of their program schedule for the year. In year’s past they would end My Kitchen Rules before the Easter non-ratings period, then take two week’s off and then relaunch a post Easter schedule. Nine were taking advantage of this and launching The Voice post Easter and providing themselves with plenty of traction for the next 3 months. Added – In 2013 Seven went past the Easter ratings period with My Kitchen Rules but then used the finale to launch Celebrity Splash instead of House Rules and the gap between the two shows saw a softer program schedule for a few weeks.

Seven will abandon this strategy and move to a smarter and more aggressive approach to the post Easter schedule. First of all, Seven will not end My Kitchen Rules next week. Here is what lies ahead:

It’s a debate that brought trading on U.S. markets to a brief halt this week, when commentators spectacularly disagreed live on television. In a world where time is money, Financial Review Sunday examines why there’s such a stir about high frequency trading – and whether Australian companies and markets are prepared. sytycdKathaleen Fisher, NSW, 19 and Thabang Baloyi, NSW, 21 twirl off!

It was double trouble for real life ex-couple and dance partners Kathaleen Fisher and Thabang Baloyi as tonight’s elimination saw them say goodbye to their So You Think You Can Dance Australia dreams in the first elimination of the season.

Kathaleen and Thabang found themselves in the bottom six, along with Stephen Perez, Nadiah Idris, Joel Rasmussen and Zoey Black following last week’s first performance show. Tonight all six danced for their lives, showcasing the very best they have to offer. The judges then made the final decision on who to send home.
