*** Updated ***
9 has reverted back to Cold Case being on at 9.30 Wednesday. Therefore CSI: Miami is out again, possibly on hold for a return to Sunday nights should they change their mind about movies. We are talking about ch 9 here, so expect more updates on this one.
As difficult as it can be at time, the following is a guide to what’s coming up on channel 9 in the next few weeks. Even since their own press release sent out yesterday, the programming has changed - just as well I didn’t instantly react to it, and use the press release as the basis for this post.
Here’s the summary, in no particular order.
1. Tuesday July 21.
7.30pm. NEW SHOW - Dance Your Ass Off. Basically the show seems to be a cross between the Biggest Loser and So You Think You Can Dance where 12 plus sized contestants dance off for a $100,000 prize while trying to lose weight at the same time.
Two and a Half Men and 20-1 follow, although with 20-1 returning to Thursday nights, after Trouble in Paradise has been axed, the Tuesday night 20-1 may change. Little Britain is at 10.30pm.
2. Wednesday July 22.
7.30pm. NEW SHOW. Australia’s Perfect Couple, which will run for 6 weeks. Eight couples will be tested in intimacy, trust, endurance and commitment to win a prize of $250,000. One couple is same sex male, and there are also two virgins amongst the mix. This means the Wednesday night 7.30 Two and a Half Men is gone.
8.30pm. RPA - this seems to be RPA’s new time slot now.
9.30pm. [Updated] - Cold Case, followed by either a repeat or possibly CSI: Miami. Not yet confirmed about 10.30.
3. Thursdays.
8.30pm. As mentioned in my previous post, Trouble in Paradise is gone, relaced by 20-1.
4. Saturdays.
7.30pm. You may see in some advanced or printed guides that a show called Crusoe is advertised. Chances are that won’t be on at that time (or any time). Check again closer to the date.
5. Sundays.
9 are sticking to Sunday nigh movies for at least a few more weeks. Can’t say what movies will be on, as they leave it till the last minute to decide. Even in the yahoo TV guide, where you can see what is on Sunday July 19, 9 at 8.30 says TBA. That will no doubt be the same with TV Week, which comes out on Monday unless they have information the rest of us don’t.
So yet again, printed guides for 9 won’t be accurate.
As usual, any information relating to programming for any channel, but especially channel 9, is subject to last minute changes of both shows and timeslots. Check closer to air dates of shows to make sure you don’t miss out.
