New Series Friday, 15 February 2008
It's off to tropical Cairns and art deco collector Debra Kinsella whose Carl Palda crystal collection is simply stunning. We get up a head of steam with TV and film actor Scott McGregor, whose NSW property has become a shrine to his railway obsession - 4.5 km of track, several fully restored and very beautiful vintage carriages, signals, signs, platforms, mirrors, works of art, buckets and trolleys. Host Andy Muirhead takes us to a collection very few people are allowed to see. Housed in the State Library of Victoria is the lifetime collection of Magician Will Alma.
'Roving Eye' Gordon Brown introduces us to Folk Art - objects from the 1800s up to the Depression years that were made with whatever was available.

Australian rock icon, Martin Plaza of Mental as Anything has been throwing things in suitcases for 25 years. He needed somewhere to store his compulsive op shop purchases and the suitcase collection almost started by accident. It's a great collection and he sings us a carol too!
Where does Santa go for his big sack of ideas? To Alan Griffiths who runs the Australian Museum of Childhood in Port Adelaide. Professor Adrian Franklin reveals his own Christmas collectables and Justin visits the Australian War memorial in Canberra to explore a sad but moving side of Christmas.
