Robin Hood Press releases Show Me the Money

There's lots of roistering fun and fighting deep in the heart of England in tonight's Robin Hood but things get serious when Robin has to say farewell to a trusted friend.

Robin (Jonas Armstrong) is desperate to get hold of the Great Pact of Nottingham, as proof of the Sheriff's (Keith Allen) treason.

Robin strikes a deal with a lovelorn Knight - John of York (John Hopkins) - that should enable Robin to find the document.

But Robin hadn't bargained on the traitorous Allan A Dale (Joe Armstrong - son of New Tricks' Alun Armstrong).

Dale gives away the outlaws plans to Sir Guy of Gisborne (Richard Armitage) and before long, the beautiful Marian (Lucy Griffiths) is in mortal danger. Meanwhile, Marian's father Edward (Michael Elwyn), rotting in gaol, resolves to escape the dungeon and steal the Pact himself.

Money, even in medieval times, has a way of making things moral, according to the Canon of Birkley (Tony Slattery), but he hasn't banked on Robin Hood riding to the rescue of the lovelorn Knight, and his bride-to-be, Beatrice (Fernanda Dorogi).
