Going head-to-head in pursuit of the grand prize in tonight’s GLADIATORS are a former soldier, a state athletics champion, a cattle ringer and a dental nurse with dreams of starting her own personal training business.

They’re fit, determined and physically prepared for the challenge, but are they mentally ready to stare down the Gladiators in Hang Tough, Atlasphere, Suspension Bridge and the new game Vertigo?

For the women, it’s a battle of the mums with two extremely fit and strong mothers ready to take on the female Gladiators. Julie (Victoria) and Jules (WA) will be taking on the high-flying Angel and speed-blitz Nitro on the Hang Tough rings, and they’ll need all their strength if they hope to defeat Destiny and Amazon on the Suspension Bridge.

Former Queensland soldier Marcus and South Australian cattle ringer Nick will be swinging high above the arena floor against Scar and Hunter in Vertigo, while Thunder and Kouta will be using all their might to stop the guys from scoring in Atlasphere.

Between them the might of the Gladiators towers 25.6 metres and weigh in at a formidable 1.19 tonnes. Working together as a powerful and commanding team, the Gladiators are more than strong opponents, they’re skilful combatants and the Challengers will have to outwit as well as outplay to gain valuable victories.
Will the Challengers gain any valuable points before squaring off against one another in the Eliminator?

The winners will proceed to the quarter finals, with the two overall winners of the series (one male and one female) sharing in $100,000 and two All Wheel Drive Subaru Foresters.
