When a casual breakfast turns into a shootout, Detective Mac Taylor must put the pieces of the crime back together. Mac follows the evidence to a federal informant with a “get-out-of-jail-free” card and “nine lives.” To bring him down, Mac and Stella Bonasera must crack a counterfeit ring and render the informant useless to the feds.
