Jade Hatcher

Jade Hatcher has always had a love of dance, studying a variety of styles, including ballet, latin and ballroom, from a very early age.

Upon graduation from Ravenswood School for Girls, Hatcher enrolled in a Bachelor of arts and Sciences at Sydney University, but deferred to
pursue a career in dance.

She studied under the tutelage of choreographer Paul Green, later gaining a role in his show, latin prodigy. Green also encouraged Hatcher’s teaching and choreography skills, allowing her to create
modernised, individual pieces.

Hatcher was able to put this ability into practise earlier this year when she joined green as assistant choreographer on So you think you can Dance. In this role, Hatcher undertook choreography and teaching
duties on a variety of dance styles each week.

One of the few true 10 dance competitors in Australia at present, Hatcher has won numerous dance competitions, including: the Latin American Australian championship; the USAopen amateur Junior Standard championship; and the Junior latin, Junior Standard, youth latin and
youth Standard categories of the uSa diamond classic championships.

She will also represent Australia in the world dance championships in Prague.
