It's Back! Dancing With the Stars is back for its eighth season and I must say, it's great to see a new host in Daniel MacPherson. Already after seeing his cheerful face and bright personality in the opening moments of the new season there is an incredible sense of relief that Daryl Somers tragic hosting is no more. Daniel works well with Sonia Kruger who is, of course, looking as splendid as ever.

The dance troupe open the show with a routine set to Hot Stuff which is Craig David's remake of the David Bowie classic, Let's Dance.

On the judging front, there are some changes as well with Paul Mercurio also departing the series leaving Todd McKenney, Helen Richey and Mark Wilson to give the scores. For the first couple of weeks, they're also joined by Bruno Tonioli from Strictly Come Dancing in the UK and Dancing With the Stars in the US.
