10.40PM SUNDAY / JUNE 15
Murray sets up a photo shoot for the band but offends Bret when he tells him he is too small for the photos. That afternoon Bret is still feeling self conscious about Murray's comments. He decides he might feel bigger if he eats more and gets more compliments but Jemaine refuses to compliment Bret believing it will make him appear gay.
While Bret is sleeping he dreams of Jemaine dressed as David Bowie from 1972 Ziggy Stardust tour. 'David Bowie' tells Bret not to have body issues and suggests he wears an eye patch to give him a new look. Bret decides to take Bowie's advice and wear the eye patch. The next day, Murray visits the boys apartment to tell them a pic from their photo shoot has run in 'Novelty Hits Magazine'. He is excited because the article has 'generated some heat' and they have been approached by a novelty greeting card company to supply music for a card.
Bret continues to worry about his size so Jemaine asks their only fan Mel to flirt with Bret to boost his self esteem. Jemaine then writes a song called 'Bret you got it going on' to make him feel good.
1980 David Bowie from the 'Ashes to Ashes' video clip then visits Bret in another dream and asks him about the eye patch. Bret tells him it didn't work - he lost his depth perception, so Bowie tells him he should do something outrageous. Bret agrees and whilst in a meeting with the novelty card company he stands on a table and pulls down his pants and Murrary is not impressed.
David Bowie from the 1986 film 'Labyrinth' appears in another of Bret's dreams and reveals he also suffers from a lack of confidence. Bret then decides he shouldn't worry about being confident because David Bowie isn't either. Murrary then tells them that the card company 'admired Bret's balls' and agreed to manufacture the card.
