This week on GLADIATORS, it’s lucky the games are being mixed up for the challengers because they’ve scored very few points against the Gladiators in the heats.

Kristine Banks-Smith was wiped by Viper on the Suspension Bridge; managed only one pod in Powerball; Angel took her out of the sky on Hang Tough; and she rolled over just one pod in Atlasphere against Bionica during the heats.

Victorian Kristine is hoping the new mix of games in this quarter final – Hit and Run, The Wall, Duel and Pyramid – might play more to her strengths.

But feisty fellow Victorian challenger Michaela Williams has already played Duel and Pyramid with no success. Did she learn anything from her first battle with the Gladiators?

Both the men won just one of their games in the heats, so they’ve got plenty to prove this second time around.

Paul Baird’s only success came in Atlasphere, when he sped away from Scar for three pod crossings. While Simon Orton successfully evaded Hunter on Pendulum to score his only points.

Queensland’s Simon didn’t run the Eliminator during the heats when his competitor suffered an injury, while Victorian Paul came from behind to score the second-fastest Eliminator run of the series so far. Simon’s going to have to dig deep to beat Paul, who has the advantage of having girlfriend Kristine right beside him for support.

The winners will proceed to the semi finals, with the two overall winners of the series (one male and one female) sharing in $100,000 and two All Wheel Drive Subaru Foresters.
