Who will have the edge when a former national swimmer and an Australian aerobics champion battle on GLADIATORS tonight?
Emily, 23, from South Australia is ranked seventh in the world in sport aerobics. She obviously has stamina, but will it be enough to take on the female Gladiators in the one-on-one battles of Duel, Vertigo and Pyramid.
Her challenger, 25-year-old Jacqueline from NSW, is no stranger to extreme competition having swum at national level and played in state league soccer. But will the mighty Gladiator team prove too strong for her in the Hit and Run?
Will Joseph’s (Victoria) Army Reserve training put him in good steed against the male Gladiators, or will West Australian personal trainer Shaun’s determination help him to a win?
It’s a big ask for both men with the likes of Tank and Thunder squaring off against them in the Duel, Hunter and Kouta zoning in on them in Pyramid and Outlaw and Scar swinging by in Vertigo.
Between them the might of the Gladiators towers 25.6 metres and weigh in at a formidable 1.19 tonnes. Working together as a powerful and commanding team, the Gladiators are more than strong opponents, they’re skilful combatants and the Challengers will have to outwit as well as outplay to gain valuable victories.
Will the Challengers gain any valuable points before squaring off against one another in the Eliminator?
The winners will proceed to the quarter finals, with the two overall winners of the series (one male and one female) sharing in $100,000 and two All Wheel Drive Subaru Foresters.
GLADIATORS is hosted by TOM WILLIAMS and ZOE NAYLOR with referee BILL HARRIGAN.
