Part of watching the Australian Open Tennis on Seven each year is seeing the ads for up and coming premieres on Seven that come “after the tennis”. Promo after promo - pretty well in every ad break - remind us what will be on the channel “after the tennis” but, until the end is closer, rarely give away the timeslots - usually a closely guarded secret until the last minute, with even advanced guides indicating several time slots as “TBC”

The Australian Open Tennis runs for two weeks, starting Monday January 18, and finishing with the Men’s final - often one of the highest rating TV events of the year - on the night of Sunday Jan 31. Until then, there is no normal programming on Seven from 11am until after midnight except for the 6pm News, Today Tonight, and Home and Away which returns 7pm Monday January 25th - during the tennis.

This week on HEROES: The Heroes attempt to rescue themselves and others without the use of their powers. And Hiro gets a chance to save the love of his life.

Matt goes to extreme measures to extinguish Sylar who continues to torment him. Elsewhere H.R.G calls in a favour from Tracy to save a troubled young boy whose misfortunes resemble her own. While Claire and Gretchen (guest star Madeline Zima) are being hazed by their new sorority sisters, they realize pledging might not be their biggest problem.

When Hiro travels 3 years into the past, he has a second chance to save Charlie (guest star Jayma Mays) from the hands of Sylar. However Samuel's presence serves to complicate Hiro's mission even further. Elsewhere, H.R.G's past with his Primatech partner (guest star Elizabeth Rohm) is revealed.

Today at Midday saw Seven join the club with the other four Australian free to air TV networks in broadcasting a second digital channel. Viewers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth can see 7TWO on digital channel 72. Viewers in regional Queensland who receive the digital signal for 7 QLD can also view 7TWO. Darwin and Tasmania have to wait until December while those in PRIME’s coverage area (as well as WIN in regional SA and PRIME owned GWN in regional WA) still do not have a start up date yet.

Prior to 10am this morning, 7TWO (Sydney) shows the static image stating the channel was start at “Midday Today”. At 10am, the promo loop played which remained in air until 11.58.

At 11.58, the screen went blank. That was then followed by a 60 second countdown that saw the It’s Time style clock used to promote the channel count down each second, with the themes of nights being highlighted for each second (crime night, movie night, etc).
