Heroes - Not the Blockbuster that Channel 7 wished for!

Channel 7 is reeling after its much vaunted international drama series Heroes has slid way down in the rankings. For Australian networks, it is a gamble of which US and British shows will bring their viewers onside. Heroes started off with 2.1 million Aussies watching it on Channel 7 six weeks ago and now is lucky to pull in a million viewers each week.
What does this mean?
Well, Channel 10's House is pulling them in, and Macleod's Daughters is still loved even though critics doubted it would be able to demand the audience. So Channel Seven is left to gather the viewers it can, and perhaps think of picking up a different American program for next season.

Perhaps the Heroes ratings would be higher if it saw a little more advertising outside of an half hour before it actually screens. I dont know about anyone else but moving it back to show an hour later without notice sort of did it for me. Like Joss Whedons "Firefly" series, if you're going to put it on at an unpredictable time, or sometime when people are usually asleep, of course the ratings will be shot.

ever thought that the writers strike may have had something to do with the drop of viewers. Heroes has only been back on for a couple of weeks. gotta give it time. Putting heroes at a later time and replacing it with bionic woman or whatever it's called.. ... what were you thinking

I think the reason that the viewings have dropped not just for Heroes but Channel 7 itself, is because most people have Foxtel now... channel 7's tv listings are not on the tv guide! I don't watch channel 7 purely because I can't see what's on! So I reckon that people are just forgetting Heroes is on, and watching something else. If yous just swallowed your pride- paid the foxtel fees as Channel 10 & 9 have, you will find more people will watch your channel.
Seriously think about it!

If you can run large fiscal deficits without raising the price of home financing, that sort of changes the dynamic -- all the costs are future costs. In this case, global markets may have worked to subvert natural market discipline

My mind is like a bunch of nothing. My life's been really unremarkable , but it's not important. I can't be bothered with anything these days. I just don't have anything to say lately.

Not much on my mind lately. Basically not much notable happening to speak of. Eh. I've just been letting everything happen without me. I can't be bothered with anything lately, but I don't care.

More or less nothing seems worth thinking about. I guess it doesn't bother me. I just don't have much to say right now. My life's been completely bland lately.
