Hi-5 will have kids singing and dancing in their lounge rooms when it returns to Channel Nine with its tenth series on Monday, July 7 at 3.30pm.
The new series will introduce a brand new Hi-5 face, Stevie Nicholson. Stevie will join Hi-5 favourites Nathan Foley, Kellie Crawford (formerly Kellie Hoggart), Sun Park and Charli Delaney.
Hi-5 encourages children to develop their own potential and take a joyous and active part in life. Each week Hi-5 explores a contemporary theme, examining issues relevant to children aged from two to six and the world around them. Series 10 specifically explores such concepts as different family structures; planet earth at a local and world level; the future – growing up and what’s new; and technology, while also covering topics like sharing, sport, confidence, story telling and play time.

For all those Hi-5 fans that live outside of the big cities the wait is finally over! Hi-5 announced today that they will continue their tour of regional Australia, this time heading all the way south to Tasmania as well as regional Victoria and Southern New South Wales, when their live show HI-5 PARTY STREET hits the streets from July 1.
HI-5 PARTY STREET will burst onto the stage in Geelong on July 1st before heading to Ballarat, Warragul, Warrnambool, Shepparton, Swan Hill, and Bendigo in Victoria before travelling further south to Hobart, Launceston and Devonport in Tasmania. Hi-5 will then head back into New South Wales for shows in Albury, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Goulburn, Campbelltown, Revesby and Hornsby.
News Replacement for Charli Delaney Announced

Channel Nine has today announced that Casey Burgess will be the replacement for Charli Delaney - Casey, 19, is the daughter of former Aussie pop star Ray Burgess (also a host of the ABC's 1970s pop magazine show Flashez). She has appeared in many theatrical and TV projects including Annie, Home and Away, Tripping Over, Carols in the Domain, Perth Telethon and Girl TV. She also has an upcoming role in the telemovie Scorched.

The Nine Network and Southern Star today announced Casey Burgess as the new cast member of Hi-5, the Australian children’s television phenomenon.
Burgess, who is 19 years old and comes from Sydney, was invited to become the new fifth member of Hi-5 after an exhaustive casting process which saw actors and singers from around Australia auditioning for a panel of judges including former Hi-5 member Charli Delaney and members of the creative team behind the hit kids show.

HI-5 INTRODUCE NEW CAST MEMBER SUN PARK

The ninth series from multi-Logie award-winning, international children’s sensation, Hi-5, with their new friend Sun Park, will return to air on the Nine Network from Monday, June 11 at 3.30pm weekdays.
The new series opens with Kathleen deLeon Jones announcing her pregnancy and introducing new Hi-5 friend Sun Park who will be looking after her space and exploring puzzles and patterns. The series end is rounded off when Kathleen returns to the screen with her new bundle of joy, Mikayla.
Focusing on education and positive messages, Hi-5 makes learning fun for 2-8 year olds using music, colours, shapes, words and physical activity. This is all brought to life by Hi-5’s five young, vibrant presenters.

Raves Hi-5 Join Walk Safely To School Day

I'm a fan of Hi-5 and it's great to hear that they are taking part in Walk Safely to School Day. The nationwide fitness scheme is not only aimed at the kids but also the parents: to help reduce traffic congestion, to create a pedestrian-safe environment, and at the same time potentially saving 125,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases a year. Good stuff!
