BEING booted off Dancing With The Stars will free up some of Jodi Gordon's time, but the soap star has revealed she's taken up acting lessons in a bid to step up her career.

After mastering the art of multi-tasking while juggling her dance training, fashion ambassador role for Crystelle and her relationship with Seven heir Ryan Stokes, the Home And Away hottie has also been cramming in extra NIDA courses to improve her "craft".

With Gordon's soap persona, Martha at the centre of this year's series cliff-hanger, the TV babe admits she's relieved to be excused of her ballroom duties. And Stokes is stoked too. "I think he may be a little relieved actually because I won't be training all day and all night and we can have our weekends back," Gordon told Confidential.

The 23-year-old was voted off the celebrity show on Sunday night, leaving boxer Danny Green and actor Toni Pearen as favourites to win this series.

While Gordon impressed with her hot-shoe shuffling, it's her star turn on the Seven soap she's found challenging of late.

"We just finished shooting this year's cliff-hanger and it's by far the most dramatic stuff I've ever done," she said.

"It's going to be huge."

Keeping details of the year's series end to herself, Gordon would only say her character was central to the suspense.

But after renewing her contract on the Summer Bay show for two years, she'll obviously be alive and kicking next year.

Just don't expect to see her on Seven's other celebrity series, It Takes Two.

"I am the worst singer in the world, so no way," she said.

Any ideas on what the cliffhanger will be about now?
