excuse me god is very real & i agree religion is about forgiveness and acceptance. Don't force your opinions on other people you may believe God isn't real but I no he is very real. it was very tasteful, in the context of it was done in the right way, i mean tv shows show "sex b4 marriage" and all that sort of stuff, and family groups never go on abou that, and that happens more than being gay. As a "hidden" lesbian myself, i loved it. it sux that charlie is going to ruin it all,what charlie is going to do, actually happens in real gay life sometimes though. i know a lesbian that has sex with a guy every year to make sure she's still a lesbian...

LOL at lillian. if thats the case i think god needs to get in touch with the 21st century and modify his word a little... i'm a bisexual girl and i still haven't come out to my parents [even though they know...long story] so i think this kind of thing on televiision is pretty positive really. it shows that time is, yes moving on, and [some] people are willing to accept all people, black, white, gay, hetero. i think the people that are against this are narrow-minded, people shouldn't stop their kids watching this, they should allowe their kids to watch it and grow up however they grow up and know thhat they'll be accepted whether they're the 'same' or different to anybody else.

Why is everyone so angry about this storyline! It's real life. If anything this is going to help put many teenagers who are confused about their sexuality minds at ease. By showing this relationship on TV it shows them that it's OK to be gay! Anyway people don't choose to be gay, people choose to take drugs, get drunk, sleep around etc. Why are family groups getting so angry about something thousands of people can't help but feel while no one bats an eyelid at the things people actually choose to do!

I think it's great that Home and Away are finally catching up to the 21st Century. I'm personally straight but have many gay friends and a gay family member I think it's important that this is shown. I for one am aware that kids these days know way more then their parents think they do!!! So, what's wrong with showing a kiss or two or three between Charlie and Joey. I think their relationship is great and cute and look forward to seeing where it's heading. However, it seems as though H&A are going to ruin it with Charlie sleeping with Hugo to see what her 'true' feelings are. I feel sorry for JOey and her heart will be broken but I guess it means the writers are either going to give up totally or will actually make Charlie a gay character. Fingers crossed this story isn't totally runied!! Maybe one day Australia will step up like other countries in the world & prove to the world we can show/promot gay relationships like heterosexual relationships.

Here's something i DONT understand: there are plenty of other shows/movies that people (sometimes 'kids') watch, that have gay characters. Has anyone here seen Skins? in one episode they had a full-frontal gay kiss, did anyone bat an eyelid? Besides, most kids know what homosexuality is and accept it, and if they dont like it then they dont watch it. Really, it's the adults who are acting like the children here. Homosexuality is in our world, like it or not (and judging by the bad responses to the storyline, a lot of people DONT like it) Ellie and Izzie, don't bag Lilian. It's her choice, she doesn't have to watch anything if she doesn't want to. I think you two need to grow up and accept that the world isn't always on your side.

It amazes me that people are so scared to let their children watch H&A because of how impressionable the gay characters would be to their children. Isn't there also a character who is a drug addict?? Hmmmmmm. .. As a parent wouldn't you be also be worried that your children would be exposed to drug addiction??? Parents need to put things in perspective. Any kind of exposure (drug or sexuality) is impressionable... targeting one thing over another is total discrimination. It amazes me that people can't see that...

I thimk the scene between Charlie and Joey was nice. The only thing I was pissed off about was reading on the internet that the scene had been muted (edited). I'm sick to death of 'family groups' and the like complaining about things like this! If you don't want to watch it, TURN IT OFF, and let the REST OF US enjoy it! There's always someone or some group out there who has to spoil it for those who do want to watch something. I have NEVER rang up a TV Station and comlained about anything. If I don't want to watch something, I turn it off or changed channel! What Channel 7 should do, in my opinion, is allow that episode to be DOWNLOADED from thier website, so that we can download it and watch it. (the un-edited version). And those who don't want to, don't have to!

My girlfriend went through the same stuff when she met me, all the confusion and stuff - she was married before we met, so this storyline (with or without the snogging, though Charlie IS hot!) is applicable to "real life".
