The recent earthquake in Haiti and subsequent aftershocks has left the small nations’ capital Port au Prince devastated with tens of thousands dead and millions homeless. Aid has been flowing into the region, but a lot more is needed.
Organised by George Clooney amongst others, ALL American free to air television networks will be airing the Hope for Haiti Telethon during prime time on Friday night. Several major cable channels will also be taking part. The last time we saw something like this in Australia was to raise money for the Boxing Day Tsunami which hit Indonesia and surround in 2004.
