8.30PM WEDNESDAY / JUNE 25
A young married couple, Maria (special guest star Samantha Mathis) and Bob engage in some role-playing activities in the bedroom, which inadvertently causes Bob to start choking.
After a series of tests, House is determined that Bob has heavy metal toxicity, a diagnosis the rest of his team disputes, down to lack of proof.
After treatment for a number of potential causes, including lupus and food allergies, House becomes fixated with the notion that Bob’s wife Maria is poisoning him.
What intrigues him is how Samantha, who hasn’t left the hospital since her husband was admitted days ago, could possibly be smuggling some concoction on her that enables her to poison him slowly. His theory is wildly disputed by the rest of the team, but when they can’t come up with a reasonable alternative they are forced to accept that House may be right.
Meanwhile, House diagnoses one of his clinic patients with herpes and eludes to the fact that the patient, or his wife, must be having an affair. What House isn‘t ready for is the patient‘s furious wife who is a force to be reckoned with and won‘t take House‘s insulting insinuations lightly.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
House: A sex fiend with a swollen tongue. Just think of all the places I can make Foreman search.
Dr. Cameron: If you ask me, if two people really trust each other, a threesome once every seven years might actually help a marriage.
