When Boyd, a 15-year-old selfproclaimed faith healer, is admitted to the hospital, House and his team are challenged on their beliefs of religion and the effect faith can have on healing. Boyd believes God's presence descends on him to help him guide and treat others – House thinks he is just a misguided and indulged teenager.

It goes without saying that House is skeptical of Boyd's supposed healing hands but he is quietly intrigued, especially when Boyd makes a couple of revelations about House and his team that run true. Perhaps God does really speak to Boyd….

Meanwhile Wilson has a patient who has had a long struggle with cancer and has lost the will to continue her fight.

However, an altercation between his patient and Boyd results in her cancer tumours seemingly reducing in size, which again, force House and his team to face the fact that Boyd may be able to heal people with his hands. In defiance, House is determined to find a logical and medically based reason for the reduction in the tumour's size, as well as how Boyd could possibly know personal and revealing information about him.

In his investigations, House makes a startling and explosive discovery about Wilson that could damage Wilson's career forever – what could Wilson be hiding?
