After four years abroad working on an anti-terrorism project, new Detective Cyrus
Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) returns to America to find his brother has committed suicide by
lethal injection in an escape from his incurable illness.
Before the case can be closed, another man is found dead, having killed himself in an
identical fashion.
With Lieutenant Van Buren's permission to work the case alongside fellow Detective
Ed Green, Lupo and Green become suspicious of a recent parolee formerly known as
'Dr. Death'.
As the investigation continues, the detectives discover 'Dr. Death' has a daughter who
could be a follower of her father's work.

When the mutilated body of a young woman named Tina, is found in an
elevator shaft, Dectives Benson and Stabler begin the investigation by
questioning the university student’s roommate.
The detectives learn that Tina used to hang out with a strange group of
people who dress up in formal wear and carry out ‘secret missions’ in
the dark corners of the city. The leader of Tina’s crew says he left Tina
at a bar the night she was killed, and the bartender, Cecilia, remembers
Tina leaving with an unruly customer.
Later that night, Cecilia calls Benson in a panic; the unruly customer and potential suspect has returned to the bar.
The phone line goes dead, and the detectives arrive to find Cecilia gone and a portrait of Venus di Milo on the floor,
painted in blood.
The artistic elements of Tina’s murder and Cecilia’s disappearance resemble the works of serial killer Robert Morten

OVER HERE - Season 17, Episode 21
Two homeless men are beaten to death within an hour of each other and appear to have been kicked in the head by the same attacker.
The first victim lived in an alley near a car dealership and the detectives manage to locate security camera footage of the night he was attacked. Evidence at the crime scene suggests the attackers were from out of town, and the detectives quickly locate the hotel they were staying at.
It appears the suspects go from door to door selling magazines and stealing from houses unbeknownst to the owners. Detectives Green and Cassady catch the suspects in the act as they attempt to rob yet another home.The boots on one of the suspects, Bobby, matches the imprint found on the victim's heads, and the detectives are positive they have their man.

Karl finally admits that on the night of his brother's death they were at a bar together. Video surveil-lance shows a strange man spiking two drinks for the Rostov brothers. Although Karl spilled his drink, Peter drank his and died hours later. Using FBI face recognition software the strange man is identified as Nikolas Brezin – Nadia's father. But Nikolas can't be arrested as he is protected by the Russian Consulate.A.D.A's McCoy and Rubirosa negotiate with the Consular General to swap Karl (on Russian kidnapping charges) for Nikolas.Why would Nikolas kill the men who could lead him to his daughter and how did he track them down in the first place? The case also reveals some home truths for McCoy who arranges to meet with his own estranged daughter.

The cops search Yates' apartment and find ammunition that matches the slug that killed Jason. They put Yates into a line up and Barlow doesn't recognise him, but when Van Buren puts the two together in a room, Yates attacks Barlow. District Attorneys McCoy and Rubirosa realise that Yates went after Barlow because of her open criticism of stem cell research, something that means a lot to Yates both professionally and personally …

Precinct Lieutenant Anita Van Buren Controversial speaker Judith Barlow is hosting a political rally at Grammercy College when dissent erupts in the audience, the stage is mobbed and student Jason Miles is shot and killed. Detectives Cassady and Van Buren think Barlow was the intended target, while detective Green wonders if someone wanted Jason dead and used the rally as cover.

Jason’s girlfriend Kirsten and friend Malcolm Yates tell the detectives they were watching TV together the night Jason was murdered, but a hole in their story is soon exposed, and Kirsten is caught lying to cover for Yates.
