MacLeod's Daughters is back for another season after concerns that the show may be experiencing financial difficulties. The show, which features some highly paid stars and is shot on expensive 16mm film stock, is the most expensive drama in Australian TV, and has received over $200 000 in grants from the South Australian government to fund production. After Channel Nine was sold last year with financial difficulties under the covers, viewers were worried that their beloved show may be lost in the shuffle. However, Nine has announced that the show will go on... for now!

I love this show! If there was only one show I could watch, this would be it! I am a Canadian farm girl and I just love the characters on it and the crazy story lines. Please find a way to keep it going for a long time. I think Stevie is the greatest and just wish she could get another break with you know who! Thanks again.

i like love ur show sooo much i like take things serious like wen jodi aparently died i was going 2 cry cause jodi/rach is me fav actress in the world so yer well i cried wen claire died and i am the only 1 in my family that loves ur show and i rly rly do love it???

This is great news ! We adore the show so much over here, they only just started broadcasting series 6 now here in the Netherlands.
They seem to be able to keep writing and recording with the same quality they've always done. Hopefully the Dutch 'MD'-channel will buy 7 and 8 too when the time is ready.

I love this show and it should never go off screens.. there has got to be plenty more mcleods daughters out there because they seem to come out of knowere all the time...
