This week on MEDICAL EMERGENCY, a 30-year-old motorcyclist arrives at The Alfred with a broken leg while a 20-year-old athlete is admitted with suspected heart failure.

At the Alfred, 30-year-old Brad has been admitted with a badly broken leg following a high-speed motorcycle accident. While getting a traction splint to stabilise his condition, Brad has an unusual request – he’d like an Alfred bear.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old learner driver Liam remains in an unconscious state following his car accident.

Olympic hopeful Christian has arrived at The Alfred with suspected heart failure and needs heart surgery. To complicate matters, Christian will need to be awake during the entire operation.

And paramedics have been called to the aid of coffee shop owner Karen, an epileptic who has been electrocuted.
