Returning from holiday, Susan is shocked when she walks in on Zeke and Mia in a compromising position.

She knew Mia was back on the scene, but she’s angry at Karl for striking a deal with Zeke and allowing Mia into the house. Meanwhile, Donna spots Mia talking to Detective Skinner, and starts to suspect Zeke’s new girlfriend is not all she seems. Will Donna risk her renewed friendship with Zeke to uncover the truth? Toadie succeeds in cheering her up and encourages Libby not to challenge their relationship, accept they love one another and let them be happy. When Libby witnesses a display of affection between her two best friends, she finally makes peace with Steph. Toadie and Steph later resolve to tough it out together. That’s what mates do. But can they keep up the façade forever?

Steph manages to help Toadie out of a tight spot by kissing him in front of Lucas to convince him they’re a genuine couple. But it’s clear Toadie’s continuing feelings for Sonya are causing him pain and Steph is privately fighting her own longings for Lucas. Libby begins to suspect that neither of her friends have truly moved on from the exes. She confronts Steph with her suspicions. Will Steph be able to stay the course and protect their lie?

The relaunch of PirateNet has Zeke nervous of what to expect from new boss Paul.

Initially won over by the major investment in new equipment, he’s suspicious when Paul tries to slip in product placement under the guise of an interview. When Zeke calls him on it, Paul convinces him that the product falls within the ‘ethical boundaries’ of PirateNet and sweetens the deal by requesting Karl resurrect his radio career.

But when he and Dr. Karl make their return to the airwaves, Paul foists another product on them and this time Karl knows it to be dodgy. Has Zeke completely sold out his principals to be part of the ‘new’ PirateNet?

Steph begs Toadie not to report Lucas for driving into his car.

However, Toadie insists this is a matter of his family’s safety and calls the police. Although she doesn’t condone Lucas’ actions, Libby urges Toadie to reconsider. She points out that neither Lucas nor Sonya can be expected to take news of the reunion well, prompting Toadie to reveal that he is yet to tell Sonya. Aware of how much her friend has given up on her behalf, Steph gives Toadie permission to back out of their arrangement and save his relationship.

Meanwhile, Lucas can’t afford bail and calls on the only person he can think of to help him out: his GA sponsor, Sonya. Expecting to bond over their mutual misery, Lucas is stunned to discover Sonya hasn’t yet heard the news. On finding out, an angry Sonya confronts Toadie. Will he sacrifice her to help his best friend?

Kate is rocked by the news that Lou is not coming home anytime soon. Once again, the Ramsay kids are left without a guardian. Kate is urged to reconsider applying by Declan and Sophie. She realises she needs to secure a well-paying dancing gig, to improve her chances of being chosen.

She auditions for a professional troupe, and is thrilled to win her first gig. But at rehearsal the jealous lead dancer, Candace, rattles her. With Declan’s support, will Kate stick to her guns and keep the job?

The hour of Rebecca and Lyn’s cook-off arrives, and with Erinsborough’s singles turning out to watch the competition it’s sure to be a very public showdown. Determined to continue engaging Paul in competitive games, Lyn decides to host a singles cooking class at Harold’s – on the same day and the same time, as Rebecca’s next mixology class. Rebecca, tired of battling Lyn, takes the high road and ignores her and asks Paul to do likewise. But Lyn baits Paul, and wagers her event will be more popular. Paul can’t resist and, without telling Rebecca, accepts Lyn’s bet, certain he will win.

Thursday, January 28 6.30pm

On a high after his night with Donna, Andrew is brought sharply down to earth when Rebecca and Paul send him off to his first day at Erinsborough High. As Declan goes to work at Lassiters, Andrew feels usurped as Paul’s number-one son. He attempts to undermine Declan by sabotaging a wedding Declan’s running at the hotel. And then turns his attention to Kate.

Struggling to keep thoughts of Andrew out of her head, Donna is left disappointed when Ringo chooses to attend his university orientation evening instead of helping her with her Shrugolero business. Sensing his opportunity, Andrew tries to put a deliberate wedge between them by suggesting that Donna is headed for great things and Ringo is just going to hold her back. Donna is rattled. Could Andrew be right?

Donna struggles to fill a large order until Paul suggests she call in Andrew’s help. Guilt-ridden Donna’s reluctant to involve Andrew but he manages to pull some strings and make it work. Struggling to handle the stress of waiting for Andrew to reveal their secret, Donna’s forced to consider coming clean to Ringo. However Andrew promises to forget it all if she’ll go on a date with him. Backed into a corner, Donna agrees but on their date she finds herself reluctantly charmed by Andrew.
