Katherine Heigl wants to return to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Although the ‘The Ugly Truth’ star left the show in a storm of controversy in 2010 after criticising her character Izzie Stevens, the Emmy winning actress admitted she has already told creator Shonda Rhimes, that she is keen to return to the medical drama, though she is unsure if it will be possible.

Katherine told E! Online: “I’ve told them I want to [return]. I don’t know … Being a showrunner and being a writer of a TV series like that is so complicated that, I mean, she’s got how many characters are there now? There’s a lot and so she’s balancing about 40 different storylines, so I don’t know if it fits in to their sort of vision for this season or next or however many seasons it goes.”

The 33-year-old actress revealed the main reason she hopes to return is so she can discover Izzie’s fate as the surgeon was last seen leaving the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital after husband Alex ended their relationship.

She said: “I really, really, really want to see where [Izzie] is. I just want to know what happened to her and where she went and what she’s doing now.”

“My idea is that she actually like figures it out, and finds some success and does really well in a different hospital. She was always floundering you know, and so she was always one step behind the eight ball and I want to see that girl take some power back.”

Or maybe she realises her movie career has tanked! How many people who have left Grey’s do we hear of now? And do fan’s actually want her back?

Her time on “Grey’s” was controversial and contentious — she spoke out against co-star Isaiah Washington when he used a homophobic slur against T.R. Knight, she publicly complained about the quality of the material written for her character, and she made a fuss about long hours during a “Letterman” appearance (it was later revealed the hours had been extended at her own request).

Sam Moran has responded to his sudden departure from The Wiggles to make way for former yellow skivvy Greg Page.

The video above, can only be considered a class act, amid some truly horrible behaviour and comments.

Anthony Field was completely uncomfortable answering questions about Sam’s sudden departure when grilled by Channel 9 entertainment editor Richard Wilkins on The Today Show.

When Wilkins asked the hard questions about the departure of Sam Moran and the return of original Wiggle Greg Page, Field responded, “What about Sam? Sam is … what do you mean?”

He then tried to explain “His contract came to an end. Do you go on with Sam? Do we come back with Greg? The energy felt right, that’s all”.

Anthony Field was all over the place when asked if Sam was an employee, not a stakeholder. “I had nothing to do with it, Richard”.

“Sam was an employee,” Wilkins reiterated.

Anthony: “Yeah, Sam was doing a job. If it was a musical he was doing the role of … um …. ahh.”

Richard: “He was a hired hand.”

Anthony: “Yeah”

Richard: “I gather this was news to him.”

Anthony: “Yeah it was news to him.”

Richard: “How did he take it?”

Anthony: “I haven’t spoken to him. I don’t know.”

Moran was allegedly terminated from his job as lead singer and offered a payout of about $60,000: a little more than four months of his reported $200,000-a-year wage.

Despite being a loyal servant for almost 10 years – five as the international face of the children’s super group – Moran was forced to accept less than 1 per cent of the band’s reported annual earnings. It is understood his representations for greater compensation began early last year. He was consistently turned down.

It is unlikely Moran’s wife Lyn, who met her husband when she was playing Dorothy the Dinosaur, will return to perform. She is caring for the couple’s daughter, Eloise, who turned two the day her dad was dumped.

Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell have been cast as Rachel’s gay dads on Glee, the actors are already on the set shooting their first scenes.

Earlier in the day, Lea Michele tweeted, “This is definitely going to be the best day ever. Getting ready to shoot my first scene with my two dads!”

As TVLine reported, Goldblum and Mitchell will appear in the show’s Feb. 14 Valentine’s Day-themed episode titled, “Heart.”

Fun fact: This marks a reunion for Michele and Mitchell. The two appeared together in the 1998 Broadway production of Ragtime.

ABC TV’s 6 x 30 minute Olympic documentary series has changed its name to London Calling.

Previously named Olympic Dreams, the series will reveal the personal sacrifice and endurance of seven athletes as they prepare for the selection for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.

South Australian production company, Dream TV, has been granted unique access over 12 months to an impressive line-up of athletes from around the country whose number one ambition is to be selected for the Australian team.

The athletes are: swimmers Libby Trickett and Michael Klim; rower Drew Ginn (former ‘Oarsome Foursome’ gold medal winner); sprinter John Steffensen as well as Paralympian swimmer Ahmed Kelly; wheelchair rugby team player Ryley Batt and equestrian Grace Bowman.

This series is the second to be commissioned from the ABC TV/South Australian Film Corporation FACTory Initiative which is aimed at developing new factual programs for ABC1 prime time.

Jennifer Collins, ABC TV’s Head of Factual said: “London Calling will dig beneath the surface of what it really takes to be an Olympic or Paralympic hero. The series will reveal the personal stories behind the gruelling training and the hopes and aspirations of each athlete.”

Richard Harris, CEO of SAFC said: “Newly established production company Dream TV sees the teaming up of Producer Mark Patterson and Director Kay Pavlou, resulting in a combined wealth of diverse film and television experience. The SAFC is excited by the level of new programming being generated by South Australian companies, taking Australian stories to the world.”

London Calling will air on ABC1 this year.

The term “sleeping with the enemy” may take on new meaning on the upcoming season of “Survivor: One World.”

Instead of staking out their homes on opposite sides of the island in two team camps, all 18 contestants will reside together at one location this time around according to host Jeff Probst.

“We wondered what would happen if we forced them to live together with no rules,” Probst said. “You can build one camp, two camps, not have any camps. Men can sleep over with the women, women can sleep over with the men, or you can never talk at all.”

The teams will be divided evenly among the men and women, a throwback to a gimmick used on “Survivor: The Amazon” and “Survivor: Vanuatu.”

Among the contestants who will take part in the adventure are Leif Manson, the show’s first little person, and Colton Cumbie, a gay Republican with an evil streak.

“He doesn’t know it, but he is a full-on villain,” Probst said of the 21-year-old college student from Monroeville, Alabama. “He’s the devil and I don’t even think he’s disguised.”

Sounds like the young schemer may give Russell Hantz and Boston Bob a run for their money.

Other contestants include Sports Illustrated swimsuit-model photographer Troy Robertson and plastic surgeon Greg Smith.

They insist on being called Troyzan and Tarzan, respectively.

And this season, the castaways won’t have the benefit (and sometimes disadvantage) of having a returning survivor to help them along the way.

Also missing this season? Ozzy’s favorite Redemption Island, which means that the tribal councils will once again hold a greater weight in eliminating the castaways each week.

But what the show is missing in off-the-island shenanigans, it will undoubtedly more than make up for in drama on the mainland.

Survivor: One World starts in the US Wednesday, Feb. 15, and hopefully here in Australia soon after on Nine.
