Some changes to ONE’s comedy night from next Monday with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Specials being replaced with specific specials focussing on one comedian.

Next Monday, January 23, ONE will air Jimeoin on Ice from 8.30pm.

From the magical world of Jimeoin comes this smash hit show Jimeoin on Ice. See him gracefully skate through brilliantly funny observations on the absurdities of everyday life.

The following Monday, January 30, it is Carl Barron – Walking Down the Street from 8.30pm.

As a first class comedian who plays off audience reactions with ease, Carl Barron’s topics jump from one to the other and back again, until you find yourself helpless with laughter.

As both shows are only 90 minute long, Blue Bloods moves forward to 10.00pm. The season finale of Blue Bloods now airs Monday January 30, at 10.00pm.

ONE’s revamped Monday nights has been giving the channel its highest general entertainment shares yet – reaching 4.9% last Monday night and ranking ONE close to the highest rating digial multi channel for that night. ONE was even ahead of its better rating network brother ELEVEN on Monday night. The Melbourne International comedy specials have ranked close to the most watched shows on digital multi channels on the nights they air.

ONE’s comedy night also features Who’e Line Is It Anyway from 7.30-8.30pm.

With Home and Away returning to Seven next Monday January 23 at 7pm, 7TWO will again air its Sunday morning “catch ups”, playing all five episodes of the week in one hit on Sunday January 29, from 9.30am.

The catch up timeslot should remain constant throughout the year, giving viewers either an alternative time to watch Home & Away or diehard fans the chance to watch episodes again.

Home & Away returns to Seven 7pm Monday January 23, and continues weeknights. Catch up Sundays 9.30am from January 29 on 7TWO.

Next week, as is typical when Ten start airing new reality series, The Biggest Loser Singles will be encored the day after it airs at 3pm.

Monday nights’ premiere episode will be replayed on Tuesday afternoon at 3pm, with the next three episodes played at 3pm the following three days.

If you are not quite ready yet to get into a 7pm nightly television routine, this is your chance to catch up the next day. Nightly episodes also will be available online at the Ten website the next day.

The Biggest Loser Singles premieres Monday January 23, at 7pm, and continues 7pm Monday-Thursdays on Ten.

With Nine’s Excess Baggage not premiering until January 30, and Ten’s seventh series of The Biggest Loser effectively having a one week head start on the new Nine series, Nine are hoping to lure viewers with copious quantities of Big Bang Theory episodes, starting from Sunday night (January 22).

Episodes of the hit sitcom are scheduled on Sunday night at 6.30 and 7.00pm, weeknights at 7.00pm, Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm as well as Monday and Tuesday 8.00pm. Then on GO!, there are another two on Sunday night from 8.30pm, then episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights as well.

And where is the new episode? Be careful – the one and only new episode for the week airs at 7.30pm Monday January 23. Then, the following week, assuming Excess Baggage airs for one hour on its premiere night of Monday January 30, the new episode of Big Bang for that week will air at 8.00pm (although history tells us, that is more likley to become 8.15pm).

So here is the summary of when The Big Bang Theory airs on Nine and GO! for the week January 22-28. All repeats except Monday January 23 7.30pm.

Sunday January 22.
6.30pm Nine The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation
7.00pm Nine The Jiminy Conjecture
8.30pm GO! The Jerusalem Diary
9.00pm GO! The Batjar Conjecture

7.30pm Nine The Cornhusker Vortex

Episodes of Big Bang also air on The Comedy Channel at 5pm weeknights as well as Sundays from 4.00pm – 6.30pm. Interestingly, 5pm on Comedy means they also air at 7pm on Comedy+2 weeknights – same time as Nine. On Sunday, between The Comedy Channel, Nine and GO!, you could, if you chose to, watch a total of NINE episodes of The Big Bang Theory on the one day! Wonder how many of those you will have already seen too many times?!

Now it’s game day! the boys are playing against the QLD Academy of Sport team – and are daunted. Wearing there baggy caps, the team heads out and QLD are killing them. Davud is great yet others leave a lot to be desired. Dutchie misses a great catch

The QLD team end at the innings on 156.The boys will now bat and Graham Manou is not confident. – are 2 for 8. The superstars end up losing with 129 runs and QLD with 159.

Now is time for elimination after there poor effort. Dave is the “Fresh Talent” of the week – winning $1000. Now the eliminations …. It will be a double!

There is a challenge that includes batting, bowling, fielding and catching. Who does the best wins. The guys give their all, and the prize is for the winner of the over all challenge is – Alex wins – getting four tickets in a corpoate box!
