FOX SPORTS today announced that it will provide 3D coverage of the final two hours of play from each round of the 2011 US Masters from Augusta National Golf Club commencing tomorrow.

Delayed coverage of the final two hours of play on all four days of action will be available in 3D on FOXTEL 3D Channel 201 as an extension to the main coverage of the tournament screening on FOX SPORTS HD and SD channels from 11.30am tomorrow on FOX SPORTS 2HD and FOX SPORTS 2.

FOX SPORTS 3D coverage of the US Masters will screen from 4pm AEST each day during the tournament, showcasing the action from the final two hours of play from each round. The coverage will provide viewers with real perspective of the undulating famed Augusta fairways and greens that challenge the world’s best players to produce their best golf in the pressure cooker environment of the year’s first major championship.

The 3D coverage will be available to FOXTEL customers with a FOXTEL iQHD set-top-unit, who also subscribe to the Sports Package and have a 3D capable TV. Repeat broadcasts of each days coverage will be available at 6pm AEST and 8pm AEST.

This will mark the second occasion that FOX SPORTS has provided 3D coverage of golf, after screening LIVE 3D coverage of the final two rounds of this year’s Sony Open from Hawaii in January. This followed last year’s historic 3D coverage of football (Socceroos v New Zealand) and tennis (2010 French Open Women’s Final and 2010 US OPEN Men’s & Women’s Singles Finals).

After 21 years of side-splitting laughs, Shelley Craft and a bevy of stars will celebrate the coming of age of Australia’s Funniest Home Videos in a 90-minute special on Saturday, April 16, from 6.30pm.

Join Avril Lavigne, Short Stack, Alexis Jordan, Shane Warne and a host of other celebrities as they say happy birthday to Australia’s longest running light entertainment program.

During the celebration Shelley will be joined by former host Toni Pearen to revisit some of the best winning video clips and look back at the funniest of the funniest videos over 21 hilarious years.

A very special guest will have a big birthday surprise for Shelley, revealing a “best of Shelley bloopers” reel from her time as host. Julie Goodwin, nominated for the Most Popular New Talent Logie, will also be on hand to present Shelley with a home-made birthday cake to celebrate the grand occasion.

Justice Crew will drop into the studio for a performance of their song Friday to Sunday and on the birthday night Hi-5 will be on hand with loads of gifts for the studio audience.

Trevor Marmalade will return to The Footy Show tonight for the sports show’s 500th edition.

Marmalade will be joined by original presenter Eddie McGuire on the show tonight after he was dumped from the panel in 2008 after 15 years on the show.

“I haven’t (watched a minute since),” Marmalade said. “It was the end of an era.

“Every day I have people come up to me saying ‘we don’t watch it anymore’ or ‘we miss you on the show’.”

“It doesn’t matter where I go. That’s nice of them.”

The 500th episode of the AFL show screens tonight on Nine at 9.30pm.

Lie to Me should be doing a lot better than sub-500,000 but it is just another example what erratic and unstable programming can do to a show’s ratings. ONE beat GEM, thanks to a movie and a fishing show! The movie Jarhead and Extreme Fishing were both watched by 117,000. Only one episode of Friends and The Zoo on GEM rated higher.

Seacrest named most powerful reality figure

Ryan Seacrest has been named the most powerful person in reality TV by the Hollywood Reporter’s fourth annual list of reality moguls. The American Idol host surpassed Simon Cowell, who took the title in both 2009 and 2010.

New reality project

Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka and Hills cast member Heidi Montag have reportedly teamed up for a new reality project. Montag wrote on Twitter:  ”Filming’s been great so far. Can’t wait to show you all the new show! People keep asking what my new show is about. I say – imagine if Chekhov & Tolstoy wrote for reality TV.”

Conrad to pen more books

Former Hills cast member Lauren Conrad has signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins to pen a trilogy called The Fame Game. The books will follow fictional character Madison Parker, who Conrad wrote about in her LA Candy novels.

30 Rock not ending in 2012

NBC has denied the reports that 30 Rock will be ending in 2012 despite claims to the contrary by Alec Baldwin. The network says there have been no discussions as to concluding the show next year despite Baldwin announcing otherwise.

The final four MY KITCHEN RULES teams were determined last night after South Australian newlyweds Ann-Marie and Nick secured the last remaining spot in the finals.

They earned their place after convincingly beating NSW housemates Bill and Alex in a sudden death cook-off.

The two teams had to prepare their best three-course menu for judges Pete Evans and Manu Feildel and guest judges Tobie Puttock, Guy Grossi, Karen Martini and Liz Egan.

Ann-Marie and Nick scored 38/60 for their menu consisting of a seared tuna entrée, champagne risotto main and a gin and lime meringue tart dessert.

Bill and Alex failed to impress, managing only 24 points for their beetroot tart entrée, pork shoulder main and passionfruit soufflé dessert. “Where are the Bill and Alex we’ve seen in the competition?” Manu asked. “You can cook. You’ve proven it many times but tonight you lost the plot.”

Pete commended the boys on what they brought to the series. “We have loved having you in this competition. You guys have heart and humour which will be sorely missed.”

From 12 teams, now only the best four remain. The teams – who drew knives to determine who will cook in which semi-final – are set for their toughest week ever. One of them will be the next MY KITCHEN RULES champions.

SEMI-FINAL 1 – Monday April 11

Daniela & Stefania (Western Australia) versus Sammy & Bella (New South Wales)

SEMI-FINAL 2 – Tuesday April 12

Kane & Lee (Victoria) versus Ann-Marie & Nick (South Australia)

GRAND FINAL – Wednesday April 13

The winner of each semi-final will go head to head. In the ultimate test, they must prepare a five course meal for the judges. Who will be crowned champions and walk away with the $100,000 cash prize?

MY KITCHEN RULES airs Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7.30pm on Channel 7.

In the unfolding saga between Seven and their former chief sales and digital officer and newly appointed CEO of Ten, James Warburton, the court has been told that the Seven Media Group would suffer “unquantifiable loss” due to the “valuable inside knowledge” Warburton has.

In an affidavit presented in court, Seven’s commercial director Bruce Williams made it quite clear, the concerns they have over commercially sensitive information Warburton was aware of.

“I am very concerned, given the breadth and depth of Mr Warburton’s knowledge of SMG’s operations, strategy, client relationships and financial data, that if he were to commence employment with a competitor such as Ten prior to 14 October 2012, it would be impossible for him to divorce his mind from that body of information.

“At the same time, SMG would likely suffer unquantifiable loss, as sales revenue would be put at risk by the valuable inside knowledge at Mr Warburton’s disposal, giving him an advantage in his negotiations on behalf of a competitor of SMG.”

Warburton is due to start in his new role as CEO of Network Ten on the 14th of July but Seven is attempting to block the move, claiming his previous contract prevents him from starting work elsewhere until October 2012.

Programming Amendments Update Wednesday April 6, 2011

1. Another Big Bang / Two and a Half Men swap on Nine.

Next Wednesday (April 13) at 9pm on Nine, will be a repeat of Two and a Half Men instead of The Big Bang Theory. Programming for the night now looks like this:

7.30 NEW The Big Bang Theory
8.00 NEW Mike & Molly
8.30 Two and a Half Men
9.00 Two and a Half Men
9.30 NEW RPA: Where Are They Now?

This, of course, is the night of the My Kitchen Rules finale and the Masterchef Media launch in Sydney.

2. Another Survivor Encore late Saturday night.

I don’t know why they don’t just program these in advance – we’re up to the 5th and 6th episode now, so anyone who is going to watch Survivor already is, while anyone who watches it on Tuesday night, doesn’t need to again on Saturday night. The encore will, of course, help anyone who missed out, but if it is programmed in advance, more people may chose to tune in on Saturday night, then some of those may come back to Tuesday night, thereby helping in ratings.

Anyway, this Saturday, April 9, the Survivor Redemption Island encore plays from 11pm.

3. The Big Two and a Half Bang Men Theory on GO!

Yep. Another change relating to these two Chuck Lorre sitcoms – two in the one day!

GO! loses some Big Bang episodes, and gains more Two and a Half Men episodes, while Nine is losing Men for more Bang.

This time, the change is for the 8.30pm Big Bang on Sunday (April 10) night to give way to Charlie Sheen, and the same also for Thursday (April 14) night with that night’s second Big Bang episode also giving way for some more Men. These changes are already in place for the following week.

Go to the TV Guide for GO! for full details.

Get ready for ABC3’s new high energy game show, Go Lingo! where contestants aged 11 to 12 years-old battle it out during games focusing on spelling, grammar and Australia’s Indigenous culture.

During each episode three contestants compete for maximum points in a variety of fun hi-tech games using the latest in touch screen technology. Watch as they jump into a pit of letters in Chuck A, shoot digital basketballs in Shoot Out and skirmish with digital paint balls in Splat all while focusing on spelling and grammar.

A unique feature of Go Lingo! is the segment My County which profiles Indigenous languages from around Australia. Audiences will learn about unique languages of towns, cities and remote areas from across the country and will pick up and use a few words from the traditional owners.

Following a nationwide search, 19-year-old Torres Strait Islander Alannah Ahmat was selected to host Go Lingo!. “I feel really proud to be a part of this show, it’s an amazing experience. I’ve always been encouraged to be myself and be proud of who I am, so to be on a show that celebrates my culture and the cultures of Indigenous people across Australia is just amazing,” Alannah said.
