While only Lara Bingle and Brynne Edelstein have officially signed on to compete in Dancing with the Stars this year, there are plenty of rumours regarding other celebrity competitors.

The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur is the latest to be linked to the Channel 7 series, after his co-host Kylie Gillies did so in 2009.

Hugh Sheridan from Packed to the Rafters is also among the names continuing to come up as is Rebecca Breeds from Home and Away.

Kate Richie and Terri Irwin are others who have been rumoured to dance.

SKY NEWS, Australia’s News Channel, will be the only channel to watch next Saturday, March 26, as New South Wales residents head to the polls and the fate of the State is decided.

Labor Premier Kristina Keneally is in for the fight of her political life against Liberal challenger Barry O’Farrell in what is already billed as the most dramatic Australian state election campaign in recent years.

The SKY NEWS election team, headed by Political Editor David Speers, will begin the comprehensive live coverage from 5.30am AEDT – with rolling updates on major announcements.

Throughout the day SKY NEWS reporters Gemma Veness, Celina Edmonds and Vanessa Trezise will be tracking developments and the mood around the state – and in the evening will be with the Premier, the Opposition Leader and in key seats.

SKY NEWS will also release the details of an exclusive SKY NEWS exit poll, conducted by Auspoll, from 5.00pm.

As the results start coming in, Speers and an expert panel, spanning both political camps, will guide viewers through the election night – analysing wins and losses for the parties, key policies and how outcomes will affect NSW residents.

The unrivalled panel will include the host of SKY News’ own weekly political show “Richo”, former Labor powerbroker Graham Richardson, as well as Federal Environment Minister Tony Burke, Labor’s former Federal Minister Joel Fitzgibbons, former State Minister Joel Tripodi, and former Deputy Premier John Watkins. Providing views for the Coalition will be Federal Shadow Minister Senator Helen Coonan, former Liberal Leader Kerry Chikarovski, former Transport Minister Bruce Baird, former Liberal leader Peter Debnam and Shadow Minister Mike Baird.

It’s what every Biggest Loser contestant dreads – a double elimination! Camp Biggest Loser is going to be a whole lot quieter as we lose 2 contestants in tonight’s episode.

Elimination # 1 – goodbye Jodie Moon, first member of the Commando’s black team to go home – but it wasn’t an ordinary exit.

Hayley announced earlier in the week that there would be a surprise elimination and it came – as a complete surprise – at the end of this week’s obstacle course challenge.

The winning team of the Challenge got to choose which member of the losing team went home. The Westrens were the winners, the Moons, the losers – and with Jodie nearly at her goal weight and missing her family desperately, she was sent home.

But she leaves 22.4kg of herself behind…

Elimination # 2 – goodbye Nathaniel Challenor. In a more conventional, but far more dramatic departure for our youngest contestant who turned 19 this week.

And what do teenagers do best? Tantrums!! Having lost only 2.9kg this week, less than either of his family members, he was put up for Elimination – and boy was he not happy about it!

No one can storm out of a room like a teenager and Nathaniel did not disappoint. But as we all learn in life, storming out of a room seldom changes the reason you storm out of a room and with his fate sealed, Nathaniel goes up against Kellie Moon.

Nathaniel may have entered the competition a boy, but he leaves as a man, a man carrying 36.7kg less baggage as he makes his exit. And as for the teenage tantrum, well, do they really ever end.

Grohl criticizes Glee creator

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is the latest artist to criticize Glee creator Ryan Murphy for “thinking anybody and everybody should want to do” the show. Grohl said: “You shouldn’t have to do f***ing Glee. And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his f***ing show… I watched ten minutes [of it]. It’s not my thing.”

Entourage actor lands pilot role

Entourage actor Kevin Dillon has joined the new comedy pilot How To Be A Gentleman alongside It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor David Hornsby. Dillon plays Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase on Entourage, which is ending its run of eight seasons this year.

Applegate scores lead role

Christina Applegate has joined the cast of a new comedy pilot from the pen of Saturday Night Live writer Emily Spivey. Applegate has landed the lead role in the project.

US X Factor signs first judge

The US version of The X Factor has confirmed its first judge in record producer L.A. Reid. The Island Def Jam chairman will take up a spot on the panel for the series that begins later this year.

SKY News will provide its usual “unrivalled” coverage of the NSW state election next Saturday, March 26. That means the programming for the whole day will be focussed on the NSW election – those in other states though might feel a little left out!

Here’s the press release:

SKY NEWS, Australia’s News Channel, will be the only channel to watch next Saturday, March 26, as New South Wales residents head to the polls and the fate of the State is decided.

ACA Sunday is back again this weekend in what looks like an ongoing programming move now.

This week, the show will be hosted by Karl Stefanovic and will feature an interview with Year 10 student Casey who fought back a school yard bully this week.

Last Sunday, Nine aired ACA Sunday for the first time, in a move that many viewers believed was to provide extended Japan coverage. The show contained the latest Hey Dad story as well as usual ACA style stories on top of a live cross to Japan.

ACA Sunday is Nine’s attempt to take away some of the shine from Seven’s Sunday night. Given the fact that ACA rates lower then Seven’s Today Tonight on the majority of nights, and the fact that ACA Sunday so far appears no different to its weekday editions, ACA Sunday is, in my opinion, not likely to make any difference to how Sunday Night on Seven performs.

ACA Sunday – 6.30pm Sunday March 20 on Nine.

7mate have added some more first run content to Friday nights with the return of The Event from 9.30pm Friday April 8.

It follows new series The Cape – which premieres in a double episode at 8.30 Friday April 1.

The Cape at 8.30 from April 1, The Event at 9.30 from April 8.

The Event: President Martinez and his long time Chief Of Staff charge the intelligence community with decrypting Thomas’s satellite message, but more importantly determining to whom it was sent. Elsewhere, Sean and Leila get a fresh lead on the whereabouts of Samantha, but it leads them to a dramatic turn in their lives. Starring JASON RITTER, BLAIR UNDERWOOD, ZELJKO IVANEK and LAURA INNES.

The Event was last seen on Seven late 2010. After premiering to solid ratings, figures dropped off for the show, resulting in its move to progressively later and later timeslots.

Like Heroes last year, the returning series gets the rest of its run on a digital channel.
