9.00PM SUNDAY / MARCH 23

When kindergarten teacher and single mother Joni Ferguson (Geor-gie Parker) decides life is tooshort to play safe, she buys an al-most derelict bed and breakfast in the Blue Mountains against theadvice of her ex-husband Paul (Rhys Muldoon). Their 15-year-old son Zac (Tom Green) dismisseshis father’s private school aspira-tions and decides to move with Joni.

Six months later and as her ex-husband predicted … the business isn’t doing very well. Joni isbehind in her mortgage, the Lodge is all but derelict, her staff is preoc-cupied and Zac seems distant and uncommunicative.
When the local doctor, Henry Forbes (Andrew McFarlane), Joni’s trusted friend and confidante, suddenly dies Joni’s life is sent into a tailspin. But death appears to transform Zac.
Zac is convinced that Doctor Henry Forbes was murdered. At first this is dismissed by the localconstabulary (Geoff Morrell and Leon Ford) as fantasy … then it gradually emerges that he mightbe right.
Zac’s observations, his research, his Colombo-style deduction and his simple 15-year-old intransigence yield results…and he unravels more than he bargained for.
Emerald Falls is written and produced by Tim Pye (BlackJack, Stupid, Stupid Man, SeaChange)and Cathy Strickland (McLeod’s Daughters, Something In The Air) and directed by Peter Andrikidis(Mary Bryant, Jessica, BlackJack) and executive produced by Ron Saunders (Spellbinder) and SueMasters.
