In episode three we meet Blind Freddie – a stray Maltese terrier, who is totally blind, but looking for a loving family;

Bronson the Rottweiler is on the verge of death after eating snail bait; and we discover the trials of guinea pig ownership
when a much-loved family pet arrives with a mysterious illness.
Bronson poisoned by garden snail bait
Bronson the Rottweiler has eaten a one kilogram box of snail bait. He is convulsing and his condition is deteriorating
rapidly. Staff race against time to save the dog but he isn’t responding to treatment. As vets struggle to treat him they
are concerned the poison has left him permanently brain damaged. His distressed owners stand by and start weighing
up the odds.
Who would take on a dog that is blind?
A stray Maltese terrier that has been found on the roadside arrives at the hospital. When doting staff notice that the dog
keeps bumping into things, it doesn’t take long to work out that this is no average canine. This is Blind Freddie who, as
the name suggests, is totally blind. Lort Smith puts the call out for a remarkable, caring family in the hope they will adopt
a blind dog and give him a second chance at life.
Please make Cookie better!
Five year old Cookie the guinea pig is losing fur, losing weight and has shrunk to half her former size. Her young
owners Jacinta and Miranda are very worried and it is up to hospital vets to determine what’s causing these problems.
It’s amazing that such a small creature could have such big problem
