Host, SIMON REEVE, returns for the sixth series of IT’S ACADEMIC with all new episodes of the educational and entertaining show where schools compete to win cash and prizes.

This week, St Marks Coptic Orthodox College, Riverview and Rockdale Primary battle for a position in the first Semi-Final. This week’s episodes showcase one of the closest competitions in the history of IT’S ACADEMIC.

Saturday Disney’s Sally Stanton is the new co-host for It’s Academic and each episode she tells the contestants a story that will test their listening and comprehension skills. This week Sally tells the kids the truth about sneezing, how monkey brains are similar to ours, and how ants can communicate with chemicals!

Also, for the players at home and in the studio, we have interviews with surfing legend Layne Beachley and musician Guy Sebastian, plus meet some cuddly old Kodiak Bears, and take a look at some spectacular footage from behind the scenes of the Australian Open.
