Ratings for Tuesday August 11, 2009.

At 6.30, A Current Affair outrated Today Tonight with their exclusive interview with the mother at the centre of the Kyle Sandilands saga.

Channel 9 clawed back a few share points last night mostly thanks to viewers in Melbourne and Brisbane watching 20-1 and more Two and a Half Men. Also the fact the schedule remained the same as last week would have helped as far as stability is concerned. With 419,000 viewers in Melbourne 20-1 is their 5th most watched show of the night after the 7pm Two and a half Men which is 4th.

After 8.30, nothing unusual there. Rafters getting ever so close to the 2million mark, again winning its time slot. All Saints holding well, just over 1.1 million to hold the 9.30 timeslot for channel 7. The NCIS double despite being repeats coupled with the success of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation keeps 10 in second place for the night.

Althoug not being reported yet, I suggest that Survivor on GO would have rated quite well - perhaps something like 300,000 or so. I personllay was aware of a number of people chosing Survivor over everything else. We will know how GO shows are rating two weeks from now.

Raw ratings figures sourced from Media Spy and Tv Tonight and are Oztam 5 city metro figures. Timeslot order is some cases will may be based on average figures over a number of time slots. Timeslot order is only offered where there is enough data available to put at least 3 networks in order at the times listed.

Timeslot times may not reflect exact times that show air due to network lateness. Here, a show starting as late as 9.45 for example will be considered as the 9.30 timeslot, if 9.30 is the time it was advertised to air.

Network shares include all extra digital channels for each network. Week so far is the cumulative network share from Sunday until the day of this report. When show not shown in all cities (top 30 list): S = Sydney, B= Brisbane, M = Melbourne, A = Adelaide, P = Perth. Feel free to leave comments and let us know what you think.
