
Seven hits the right note on Sunday

Channel Seven secured three places in the Top Ten on Sunday night with strong audience figures between 6.30pm and 8.30pm for ABBA: THE MAMMA MIA! STORY and BATTLE OF THE CHOIRS.
The quarter final of BATTLE OF THE CHOIRS (406,000), hosted by David Koch, ranked fourth in Melbourne and sixth position overall (1.352 million). Ten’s Big Brother Live Eviction (312,000) and ABC’s Doctor Who (290,000) was off-key among the viewers.
ABBA: THE MAMMA MIA! STORY (342,000) led over ABC’s The Einstein Factor (292,000) and Ten’s Big Brother (222,000).
SEVEN NEWS – SUNDAY was Number One nationally with 1.603 million viewers and rounded out the Top 5 shows in Melbourne (398,000).
Seven’s coverage of AFL: ROUND 16: PORT ADELAIDE VS ADELAIDE (247,000) booted the competition to finish in the Top 20.
Overall Seven’s audience share was 22.7 per cent to Nine’s 28.7 per cent and Ten’s 21.3 per cent. ABC had 20.0 per cent and SBS 7.4 per cent.
