Seven's Gladiatorial Strength on Sunday

Channel Seven secured three places in the Top Ten on Sunday night with strong audience figures between 6.30pm and 8.30pm for the final showdown of GLADIATORS and the harmonious tones of BATTLE OF THE CHOIRS.

Channel Seven’s season finale of GLADIATORS (430,000) which awarded victory to two Victorians, Natasha Haines and Paul Baird, obliterated the housemates on Ten’s Big Brother (224,000) and The Einstein Factor on the ABC (292,000).

GLADIATORS stormed to the finish and claimed 6th position both in Melbourne and nationally. Over 1.258 million Australians tuned in to see the final outcome of the popular contest.

BATTLE OF THE CHOIRS (382,000) out performed Big Brother Live Eviction (306,000) on Ten and ABC’s

Doctor Who (282,000). Seven’s singing show was the 7th most-watched program of the night in Melbourne and delighted 1.159 million viewers nationally.

SEVEN NEWS – SUNDAY (452,000) secured 5th place in Melbourne and overall (1.527 million).

Overall Seven finished the night with an audience share of 22.3 per cent to 20.3 per cent on Ten, 33.0 per cent on Nine, 17.9 per cent on ABC and 6.5 per cent on SBS.
