ROBIN HOOD: SISTER HOOD

New Series Sunday, 03 February 2008

A second series of the family-friendly Robin Hood - chock full of breathtaking action, camp humour and raw energy - returns to ABC TV on Sunday, February 3rd at 7.30pm.

Once again filmed in the wild forests of Hungary, the 13-part series features an outstanding, magnetic cast.

The drama centres around the charismatic Robin Hood (Jonas Armstrong), who leads his gang of outlaws in Sherwood Forest. Using outrageous scams, disguises, tricks, ingenuity, breathtaking archery and swordplay, the merry band attempt to outwit the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Keith Allen) and his sadistic lieutenant, Guy of Gisborne (Richard Armitage).

In this series, Robin is aided in his quest by his feisty love interest Marian (Lucy Griffins), and his loyal troupe of outlaws, Much (Sam Troughton), Little John (Gordon Kennedy), Allan A Dale (Joe Armstrong), Will Scarlett (Harry Lloyd) and Djaq (Anjali Jay).

The second series of Robin Hood begins in a rapidly changing world.

The outlaws set up home in a newly built camp, but it's a different story for Marian and her father. Their home destroyed, the pair are held captive at the castle.

Robin seeks a way to rescue Marian, and help a woman's children accused of stealing from the castle kitchen. Meanwhile, the Sheriff is in the final stages of organising a plot to kill King Richard upon his return from the Holy Land. The Sheriff also wants Robin Hood dead and with his devastating sister Davina (Sara Stewart), sets about catching him.
