The new Robin rules the Hood in this great, rip-roaring entertainment for all the family.
The drama centres around the charismatic Robin Hood (Jonas Armstrong), who leads his gang of outlaws in Sherwood Forest. Using outrageous scams, disguises, tricks, ingenuity, breathtaking archery and swordplay, the merry band attempt to outwit the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Keith Allen) and his sadistic lieutenant, Guy of Gisborne (Richard Armitage).
In this series, Robin is aided in his quest by his feisty love interest Marian (Lucy Griffins), and his loyal troupe of outlaws, Much (Sam Troughton), Little John (Gordon Kennedy), Allan A Dale (Joe Armstrong), Will Scarlett (Harry Lloyd) and Djaq (Anjali Jay).
In tonight's episode, the Sheriff blames an outbreak of illness on the pestilence. Will Scarlett's father Dan suspects that is not the case - and pays the ultimate price for speaking out.
Robin and the outlaws determine that the illness is due to poisoning, as Will sets out to wreak revenge.
Soon enough, Robin discovers that the Sheriff and scientist Joseph (guest star Ralf Little) are the source of the poison - and that they have been testing their chemical weapon on the people of Nottingham.
This series of boisterous panto features an outstanding, magnetic cast that has engaged and delighted a new generation with its fresh and modern re-telling of Robin Hood.
Keith Allen's captivating portrayal of the menacing Sheriff, coupled with great performances by the young cast, headed up by Jonas Armstrong, is absolutely brilliant.
