When the Prince's envoy (Lee Ross) arrives to check that all is well in Nottingham, the Sheriff (Keith Allen) is nowhere to be found.
A stable girl saw the Sheriff leave on horseback the night before, but no one has heard from him since. Gisborne knows that an army is on its way to loot Nottingham if the Sheriff is not found by sunset.
Back in the forest, Little John's (Gordon Kennedy) charitable nature is putting everyone in danger as he insists on helping the poor rather than teaming up with Gisborne. The scheming Sheriff seizes his opportunity, joining a group of vagrants and infiltrating Robin's (Jonas Armstrong) camp disguised as a blind beggar in order to regain the Great Pact of Nottingham.
Meanwhile, Much (Sam Troughton) seems to be the only one enjoying the impending danger as it means heading out on a mission with Robin - just like the good old days - and Allan A. Dale (Joe Armstrong) is unsure whether he'd rather be one of Gisborne's cronies or an outlaw.
Tonight, it's not just the poor who need saving - it's all of Nottingham. But if it requires unity between Sir Guy and the outlaws, there seems little chance of ever finding the Sheriff in time!
With Prince John's army ready to destroy Nottingham and the Sheriff AWOL, Marian (Lucy Griffiths) is left to convince Gisborne to put aside his ego and seek help from Robin Hood and his outlaws.
