Hamish and Andy are keen to get into the Christmas Spirit and regift their favourite bits from 2009. Last year they broadcast their Very Early Christmas Special from Andy’s parents backyard, this year it’s the turn of Moosey and Pop, Hamish's grandparents.

2009 saw Hamish and Andy travel to the future in Japan, solve people’s financial woes with Put-pocketing, scavenge food for a week and attempt to cross the treacherous Bass Strait. They’ve also unearthed footage from the archives and some never before seen moments from their trip across America.

Will Moosey cook her famous shortbread? Will Pop’s brand new lawn survive?

Ten Head Programmer David Mott appeared in an interview today on the Media Week TV show, seen on Foxtel channel 602 at 2.27pm Thursdays (and repeated over the weekend).

David Mott said that key performing shows like Master chef (obviously), Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation, Recruits and Merlin which Ten went to some trouble to acquire will all be among the 2010 line up for the network. Any concerns about copy cat or “me too” type shows trying to come off the back of Masterchef’s success by other networks were put to rest with David saying that the audience knows what they want and copy cat or “me too” shows simply do not work these days. In particular he made reference to the failure of the X Factor a few years ago.

Rove McManus announced on-air this evening that his long running talk show, ROVE, would be coming to an end, with tonight’s episode being his last after a record-breaking ten year run.

“It was a difficult call to make but after ten years it felt like time to step away from the show and take a break to properly reflect on what I want to do next as a performer."

Rove’s decision came off the back of discussions with TEN over the last couple of weeks.

“The relationship with David Mott and the team at TEN has given us the space to make a show that we are extremely proud of over the last ten years. It is more opportunity than most will ever get. I thank them for their support and hope they have enjoyed the ride as much as I have.”

The strong relationship between Roving Enterprises and TEN will continue to grow with The 7PM Project and Before The Game, both on TEN through 2010.

It’s been a bumper year for Rove and the season is guaranteed to end with a bang!

Throughout 2009 we've seen some massive guests grace Rove's stage: Bruno; our very own Prime Minister Kevin Rudd; Eric Bana; John Mayer; Jessica Mauboy; Russell Brand and Zac Efron, to name a few. We've also seen Rove travel half way across the world just to bring more big name interviews to the comfort of our lounge rooms on a Sunday night.

Rove also celebrated a massive milestone in television this year – his 10 year anniversary! The finale is shaping up to be no exception. Sam Worthington, Hamish & Andy and Powderfinger are all lined up to get involved in the frivolities.

This week we will be treated to an instalment of laughs from Hamish & Andy. Who knows what these two boys will get up to, but one thing we know for sure is it will be a whole lot of fun!

For the final week of the ratings year, Ten have a big week lined up with a collection of season finales and Christmas specials - yes - Christmas specials - one month early!

1. Sunday Nov 22 6.30pm. Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation Christmas Special. Shaun Micallef is back to find out which generation knows the most about Christmas. Baby Boomers a represented by resident panellist Amada Keller and guest Denise Scott - comedian. Gen X sees Charlie Pickering join forces with Nova radio presenter Dylan Lewis while Gen Y feature Josh Thomas being joined again by Ruby Rose.

This week Rove pulls out the big guns with two huge stars joining him in-studio. First up, one of our favourite guests - Eric Bana - will stop by the studio to talk about his new movie ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’.

Viewers will also be treated to seeing singer and songwriter, John Mayer, perform his new single, ‘Who Says’.

Its one of the hottest singles on the airwaves right now, and this week Rove gets his own special performance of Guy Sebastian's 'Like It Like That'.

It’s a studio full of guests this week.

Seth Green, is in town and stopping by the studios for a chat to Rove. On the list of topics to discuss will be his animated TV series 'Robot Chicken' which is coming to DVD soon.

Also dropping in is one of Australia's favourite personalities, Barry Humphries. He'll be filling us in on his new book 'Handling Edna'.

Rove continues to bring in the big guests, this week with Vince Vaughn and Jason Bateman. They're on the show to talk about their new movie, "Couples Retreat".

Best known to many as the ageing man in the RACV ads (sadly some now refer to him as a poor man’s Benjamin Button), Nick Maxwell is an actor, writer and presenter.

1. Australian Idol - Sunday 7.30pm: The final 6 perform the biggest hits from the movies and theatre in stage and screen night. Guest judge yet to be announced.

2. Rove - Sunday 9.30pm: Guests this week include Seth Green promoting his animated TV series “Robot Chicken” and Barry Humphries promoting his new book “Handling Edna”.

3. Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader - Monday 7.30pm - Season Finale. Dr Chris Brown playing for the charity Assistance Dogs Australia is the last this year to take on the 5th Graders.

4. Celebrity Master chef - Wednesday 7.30pm: Cooking off this week are fashion guru Alex Perry, cricketer Simon Katich and comedian Wendy Harmer. The Pressure Test challenge will be based around a dish prepared by one of Australia’s favourite cooks, Stephanie Alexander.

1. Australian Idol - Sunday Oct 11 7.30pm. The final 7 will take part in “Big Band” night with Harry Connick Jnr as guest judge and Mentor.

4. Good News Week, Mon Oct 12, 8.30pm. The show will feature the exclusive announcement of the new name of the NRL (National Rugby League). The NRL has been so badly damaged by a litany of off-field scandals there are calls for the game to trade under a new name (because clearly that was the problem!). Good News Week will tell us what that will be. Also on the show the search for Miss Chiko Roll and Feather Plucking Mother Plovers - something to do with birds and Spring…
